Thank you for the vid! A great piece of advice in the end: I also noticed the strong smell but did not think to air it out.

You're welcome! Thanks for stopping by the channel 🤘 the smell in mine was overly strong. I knew it would be a rough first night if I didn't air it out. Happy adventuring

Just bought one for doing the West Highland Way next year. Thanks for the vid, helped me make my choice. Weights 1.8KG with everything in the sack, mine came with the ground sheet in the sack as well.

No problem! Sounds like quite the adventure. So far mine has held up fantastic and I use the ground mat bag for other items in my backpack. Beware a hot headlight against the bug netting of the tent. Have fun and be safe!

@mcp Haven't been able to use it in anger yet due to lockdowns and weather, set it up in the back garden though and it feels like plenty of space to me. I'm 6 feet tall and have plenty of space to lie full length, and with enough space for my gear as well.

heyy we have the same tent but do u know why my windropes are not green?
@the419outdoors3 жыл бұрын
I have not seen that happen with any of the tents I have seen. You could e-mail the company but it would probably be easier to go to your local sporting good store and buy some reflective paracord which is what the manufacturer uses.
@bloombergvo9594 жыл бұрын
What do you think those reflective straps on the outside of the fly are for? Tying the fly to a tree in wind perhaps? I’m curious. Thanks.
@the419outdoors4 жыл бұрын
The reflective loops on the outside are for stabilizing the tent in rough weather. They could be tied to trees, vehicles or staked down to the ground. Pretty much any solid structure you can tie cordage to will work. Stakes for those loops are provided in the bag. Hope this helps 👍

I got mine in the mail today. Do you need a foot print to set up the tent? Will it be a free standing even without the footprint?
@the419outdoors4 жыл бұрын
The footprint should come with the tent in the smaller black bag. I would highly recommend using it. Unfortunately the cloud up one is not a freestanding tent. It should be staked down. In an emergency it could be freestanding and would work without the footprint.
@outdoorsywannabe18884 жыл бұрын
The 419 Outdoors The footprint is superheavy. I want to leave it at home LOL. So after I put it together and steak it down it will be OK without a footprint? I understand that the footprint is supposed to protect the bottom of the tent. But I don’t need it to keep the tent up?
@outdoorsywannabe18884 жыл бұрын
The 419 Outdoors - perhaps I can order a Tykev on ebay as footprint to protect the bottom of my tent 🤔
@the419outdoors4 жыл бұрын
The bottom of the tent itself is very thin. Even if you go with a lighter footprint I would still highly recommend one. Your choice should work perfectly 😁😎
@the419outdoors4 жыл бұрын
Tent can be erected perfectly without the footprint, yes lol

Hey, I'm thinking about buying this for my upcoming solo treks. But at 1m93 / 6ft5 I am afraid it might be too small. What do you think? Tx
@the419outdoors4 жыл бұрын
The inside sleeping area measures 83.6" or 6'9". According to manufacturer specs it should be long enough but expect to feel a bit cramped.
@silaswild62332 жыл бұрын
Hello, I just got one of these. Do you find that the little clips that hold the inner to the outer on the middle either side are necessary? I found that when I tensioned the tie out points it pulled the groundsheet too high inside
@the419outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Hello! I don't find the clips necessary but it does add a bit of inside space. Not much though. Most times I don't connect them, but yes it does raise the floor up inside. Not enough to bother me but it is noticeable. I found it to be personal preference whether or not the clips are uses

@the419outdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@barracudaswim There are two models, the MC2 and the MC2G. The G model is the global compass. As I don't travel abroad I didn't have a need for MC2G.
