Very good video! I especially liked the part of the video in which you demonstrate the practical bushcraft use for the clove hitch. There are many, many videos on how to tie knots. However this is the first one in which a good part of the video was dedicated to practical use. If you would do more of these I'd gladly watch! 😊 Thanks again!

Holy shit, it's just like the weaver knot. Just twisted. I knew it! A farmer only showed me once a week ago on his horse trailer. And I've been mulling it over in my mind. I knew I've seen it before. We used those on our boat too. Lol I go back to help during the weekend. I'm so glad I knit, sew, and do other fabric and fiber manipulation. Oh damn. I come from farm stock but I myself never worked a farm, I'm outdoorsy, but not farm wise. I can shovel sh## and clean hooves. That's all I've learned as a teenager as a volunteer worker. My dad went into a city job so while I'm not completely city I'm not completely farm either. I'm kind of in the middle. Yay! I get to be a city a$$hole that doesn't need showing a gazillion times! Thanks I just wanted to be sure I was right in what I saw. I've been knitting on my couch and was like holy Hannah epiphany! Yeah, I'm surprised at myself at how much I've picked up through other stuff be it hunting, fishing, boats, or hobbies.

I like the tip for getting the bottle out of the fire! Never thought of that! I've just found and subscribed to your channel because I've found a lot of useful tips in your videos already, and I've been doing this stuff for 40 years! I'm reminded every day that there's always something to learn, and your channel is an example of this. Thanks!

Not trying to be fascitious but how do you get the toggle badk out of the bottle? I haven't actually tried it but some part of my brain is thinking about those frustrating chinese puzzles...?

thanks for ur vid ... i recomend ur half hitch be put on ur wrkn end of the rope. lifting ur axe u can take it to the next lvl... its safer to continue ur wrkng end over ur axe head then up to a half hitch near the end of the handle . ur fist knot iether the clove as uve shown or the bowline. i use this method to lift sledge hammers or large wrenches and snipes. keep makin great vids ... ty ;)

I love the rock trick, brilliant. I got thrown off by your safety half-hitches. Does the direction matter? It looked like you were tying the half hitch in different directions in your various examples.
