I noticed that he’s had feelings for Hani since high school because in the episode where the classes are at the restaurant, when jungu goes to hani, seungjos expresion changes and when he kisses her he kind of had his moment of shock where he got surprised and that’s why he left so quickly after that. I do know the mom kind of manipulated the relationship a little but really seungjo has always liked hani and the mom just helped him realize his own feelings.

I like how she always say that she will try her best.She is never sure of herself so it is like a safety net for her.She has been teased so much by him and others,the way that they call her stupid and he constantly telling her that she was trouble.I don't think he meant to make her feel bad but it was wrong of him.He is very in love with her but he is a little childish in showing it.He has some underlying problems of his own. His life was so mundane until she showed up.

I actually noticed that Seung Jo first fell in love with Ha Ni at the 2nd episode, when they are first walking together for the first time on the way to their school & when Ha Ni suddenly bumped in to Seung Jo, b'coz she's removing something from her finger Seung Jo was mesmerized to Ha Ni's beauty 'coz he looked shocked after realizing that he's staring blankly to Ha Ni's face & the 2nd time was when he cornered Ha Ni at the school tree, b'coz Ha Ni was showing the class his girly childhood picture & he was mesmerized with Ha Ni again & that's where it all started & he started to felt jealous when Bong Joon Gu piggy back Ha Ni first that's supposed to be him & from then on he's jealous everytime there's a guy beside Ha Ni & he felt guilty when he humiliated Ha Ni unintentionally at the whole campus after giving back Ha Ni's love letter on the very first episode.

I wouldn't go that far as to say he fell for her at 1st sight,but he surely became aware of her from the vending machine scene in 1st ep, yet he couldn't admit his interest in a girl he "rationally "rejected,so he did all kind of stupid things to push her away, Her following him around didn't bother him a bit, he knew and liked it and somehow depended on it,and he had a "radar" of her position all the time, like in some game. Afterwards he was more and more attracted to her but he refused to fall right in his mother's plans(good loving mother, but overbearing most of the time). He was mad at himself when realising his feelings and tried everything to get rid of them and deny them to himself and others,because she was too different from him,and consequently the last woman to fall for up to his standards or general opinion. Besides he was too sure of her feelings for him to take her seriously when she tried to go out with others,still he was always mad jealous and did anything to reel her back as to never be able to forget about him,like :he "playfully" kissed her on graduation, returned to the tennis courts just to see her, accepted the rematch to ensure a sweet training week with her to win her back. He knew why his mom sent him to the musical theatre yet he gladly hurried to meet her without having to ask her out formally and even competed with JoonGu to impress her. Despite his hedgehog behaviour she has already gained his respect and understanding( he's speaking with admiration about her in front of HaeRa, up to the point as to change his school orientation. He goes to Parang after her and finds the perfect false pretense with her accident, then he considered medical school "because she said so" and later he decided it suits and interests him . He was the one who knew her the best, she could work hard to achieve with proper motivation, and he always pushed, motivated and helped her with her life plans,while she was the only one to make him do things or change his mind. That's love,someone who believes in you and takes your advice, he's the one, rather than JoonGu who doesn't know her aspirations nor does he bother to ask her and offers "to take care of her ". Although SeungJo is always cold and sober,the scene of kissing her in her sleep (and dreams) tells us a lot about his feelings together with the emotional scene at the hospital by his brother"s bedside, speaks for itself. She is too modest to"catch " him,because many times he is so obvious and betrays himself, like his ridiculous reply about the gossip rumour"the captain explained to me what happened ", he said. Like why should he be entitled to receive an explanation, if he played having no interest in her whatsoever? And when he then back-hugged her, he thanked her, for her help to his ill brother or rather for the rumours that turned out false? But this isn't for HaNi's perspicacity. But it was her honest ,modest,innocent character that many look down upon ,what attracted SeungJo in his desire to guide and protect her from the backstage, without people or her understanding his intentions. He is silently caring and supervising her from afar to help her out from her endless trouble she's always into, as if by chance. People blame him for "playing her" without confession, but in fact he did confess in his roundabout way during their cute improvised date in the park. And things would have gone like that for ever had it not been close to lose her for real after his blind date with HaeRa against investment in the family business .She then respectfully stepped aside leaving him perplexed and unprepared, but her new attitude pushed him to act, kiss-confessing to her in the rain and even asking her father for her hand in marriage. My personal opinion is he never seriously considered the marriage to HaeRa, but he entered into blind dates to gain time and see what happens. Definitely he's not the man of sweet words and his character or personality stay the same, but that doesn't mean he loves her less,he never dated anyone since he met her, except the blind dates with HaeRa, dates that didn't take HaeRa out from the friendzone where he had put her from the beginning. Of course he will tease her every day of their entire life ahead, but she will always be his one and only girl.lt happens and that's the punishment for him for playing "the jerk " so long.

Wow,you have nailed this.I agree with you 100 percent.He told her in the park that she was a problem that he could not solve.That is because he had never had those kind of feelings for a woman.His mom stated that he didn't have any friends but at school people actually admired him and the girls were crazy about him.He obviously never brought anybody home because his parents didn't think that he had friends.His mom saw how much fun he was having at the relay race between him and the chef boy.He also convinced his whole class to stay at the graduation party that class seven was having at the restaurant because he wanted to be around O Hani.He was having fun until the chef boy held O Hani's hand.Too hide his feelings of being jealous,he had to attack O Hani's by degrading her again in front of all these people.When she pulled that picture out,it floored him because after telling her not to ever show it again,she disobeyed him.This was a shock to him and his little feelings were hurt.When she told him in the alley that she would stop liking him he became confused and his heart started to ache and he has been wanting to kiss her forever,so what does he do,he kisses her.The intent was to show her that he still had the upper hand over her but to his surprise the kiss had an effect on him that he could not deal with.That's why you could see from the moment he touched her mouth that he was enjoying it but then when he stopped and looked at her and the wall went back up because he probably got aroused by the kiss.He had to mask this some sort of a way so he went back to being evil and mean to her.He has some serious problems in trying to commit to another human being.
