Naukuchiatal as the name suggests ‘Lake of nine corners’ is a picturesque hill station in the District Nainital. The lake is situated at an elevation of 1,220 metres above sea level. It is fed by an underground water spring. Naukuchiatal is considered as one of the deepest lakes in Nainital, having a length of 983 metres, width 693 metres and depth about 185 metres. The lake is surrounded by enchanting flora and fauna, making it a pleasant sight to savour.
Lying at some distance from beautiful hill station of Nainital, this place is also attached to a legend. It is said that one glimpse of all nine corners of lake with both feet on the earth can make the viewer to achieve nirvana.

By Train - Kathgodam railway station is the nearest railway station located 27 kms away from Naukuchiatal.
By Bus - The distance from Delhi to Naukuchiatal is 327 kms, which can be easily covered in 6 -7 hours of Time.
