You should not throw these plants to the garbage. You need to put them at the root of some plant / tree like coconut tree etc and allow it to turn manure. These are very auspicious and hence we should not stamp it. In case you stay in a house and dont have a garden, take a big pot, put small quantity of soil at the bottom, then put all of these plant in the middle and cover it with soil again. These will turn into manure naturally and you can use them for other plants. In case you have put methi, palak etc, you can use them for cooking.

My pooja room is quite big and hence i used extra dhyanas for decoration.. No need to use more than 9, but no harm in using more than 9
