Navajo leaders and NASA scientists share perspectives on the stars.

A native American man and a boy were watching the stars. The man pointed out how the stars revolved in a circle around the north star " the star of the creator who does not move" The boy asked how the stars moved and why the north star doesn't. The man replied" You don't have to understand something to appreciate it' sometimes appreciation is a greater blessing then understanding.

In the Spring, the Star Mother revolves lower in the sky as the Ecliptic rises higher. In the Fall, the Star Father revolves higher in the sky as the Ecliptic falls lower. ✨ I wonder if there is a corresponding dance that goes with this. 🙂

I am sure they saw amazing things before electric lights. Even I saw an astounding sight on my way to SD for a vision quest. The rain clouds were in the shape of a square box in the sky. Thunder strikes were going off inside the box. Above the box sat the full moon. The thunder was incredibly strong in SD when I was there.

Every ancient story contains as much scientific as any modern science does. Especially since our modern science contains less and less falsifiable claims anymore (i.e. they cannot be proven or disproven). All what remains are exceptions to those cases, which could potentially disprove a theory. And those exceptions keep the theory alive. Thus, I strongly argue that our ancient creation stories are not less scientific than our modern "stories". I have been born and raised as a Hopi Descendant who did not care about his ancestors. I did not learn anything about them, I more or less laughed at their primitive backwards ways. Now, as I write my dissertation in computer science, I am presented with paper after paper, which makes big claims which cannot be validated anyway. And I started to wonder, how different our modern world really is, compared to my ancestors from the past...

Doesn't the fact that biogenesis is only known to have happened once here on earth "kind of, sort of" provide evidence that life is extremely rare? In this pristine biosphere that is so perfect for life, should we not have multiple unrelated species on earth if life was common elsewhere?

AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL NATIVE AMERICANS & AMERICANS I am a white American with pure English blood line with name Craft and I am not proud of the past and my family did not participate in the extension of the Native Americans and I do not like what I see for the future. I pledge to you I will spend my time and energy to teach the American people that until the country as a hole Pay the native Americas back with Land and money this country can not progress any further. Did you know that in the 1960 when the Cuban's came to Florida the government payed them $800.00 mo. for every man, woman, child, child, child, grama. granpa, aunt and uncle.in the house hold. this is back when you could buy Volkswagen bug for $3.000. They bought cars, homes, and businesses they built little Havana in Miami and they are very wealthy Americans now and you never hear about them being poor and run down. Time to give you what your due Land & Money A CALL TO ALL AMERICANS MAKE THIS RIGHT FOR COUNTRY SOLE. AS A COUNTRY WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE BEGENNING AND CORRECT OUR FORFATHERS FIRST MISTAKE. UNTILL WE CORRECT THIS THERE IS NO WAY THIS COUNTRY CAN MOVE FORWARD IN AN HONORABLE WAY. If you Think about it logically We are The guest of the Native American People. MR.CRAFT

The scientific process by which our stars are formed is not 'brainwashing.' The cultural and traditional explanations for the stars and sky are to be preserved and their lessons learned, however it is also correct to understand HOW, through scientific means, the stars and space are made. Facts and science is not 'brainwashing.'
