The ego isn't dissolved or removed somehow, you just cease to identify with it. You see that the belief in a separate self was just an illusion. And without self there is no "other", and that's the realisation of non-duality.

All of what you are saying has happened to me, when I stopped smoking weed, drinking I lost a lot of friends. Less people viewed me as fun(girls dudes) it’s similar to losing a job or not having money, you lose but at the same time I gained peace of mind, people can’t understand why I’m less angry less paranoid less inner struggle. 🙂

"Peace is happiness at rest; happiness is peace in motion" I like to think of this like: 1. Peace is happiness at rest = Calm Lake (tranquil without external stimuli) 2. Happiness is peace in motion = Flowing river (the same calm lake now flowing as a river bringing life and energy wherever it goes)

“The pursuit of pleasure leads to addiction in a time of abundance” Very easy for us to be pleasureful today - drugs, porn, social media, video games, etc. When you consistently use those things, and see the high they bring, it shows you the misery of the everyday world around you If you ask people who drink a lot what events they look forward to the most it’s probably events when they can drink If they go to the event and don’t drink, they’ll probably hate it/the convo/ the people/ etc. Breaking the addiction forces you to break the cycle and face the root problem. In that case, you’re drinking because you need better friends Breaking this cycle is hard because it’s socially unacceptable, and you might need to form new friends, habits, etc,

In physics stress is when something wants to be in 2 places at the same time Personally is when you’re conflicted on desires (I want to work but i’m tired) Peace is happiness at rest, happiness is peace in motion You can’t work towards peace, but you can work towards understanding The name of God is truth When you learn certain things and understand them you become more peaceful The closer you are to the truth, the more silent you become inside Groups search for consensus, individuals search for truth Group is an average, individuals are data points, don’t match Guilt is societies voice speaking in your head When you understand things self-improvement is inevitable Eg. When your best friend is diagnosed with lung cancer, you suddenly understand severity of smoking, and will easily quit smoking
