Despite his differences with Modi and his ideology it amazing to see Patnaik work well with the central government. It clearly shows that he respects people's mandate and wants the best for his state. He has never shown contempt for Modi as a PM and has never even made an irresponsible statement or undue criticism. He works for his people and their betterment irrespective of who is at the Centre. This clearly shows his maturity and willingness to work for his people. No wonder people of Odisha respect and love him.

I see that most people commenting against Naveen Pattnaik in the comments are Bengali people. It makes me wonder, didn’t Bengalis vote for Mamata? Your complaints should be directed towards lack of development in Bengal in spite of having a metropolitan city. Mamata Banerjee is dictatorial, anti-democracy and unqualified. At least, Naveen knows what he is doing in spite of the lack of funds from the centre. Because union govt has always been BJP or Congress , they refuse to help govts that are regional political parties. Development in Odisha in the last 5 years have been quite high with local schemes and people making large scale investments in Odisha especially after announcements about smart city. I am from western Odisha. The CM may be good in records but here as a student I am mentioning some Points which is reality based I am experiencing and seeing in my area... Education is most important for the future of nation but here you can see more than 50% teacher posts are vacant. In Panchayat College Bargarh there are only 2 permanent lecturer in Mathematics for +2, +3 and PG. Here you can see how neglected education is. Not only Mathematics dept. Other dept. also has the same condition. If the Government is not capable to provide good education to the student, then my question is.. In which perspective the CM is awarded with the IDEAL CM AWARD.
