The Navigate series continues with the question, "how do we navigate the dividing culture of sexual identity?" Disciples of Christ must come meekly and humbly with the difficult message of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus. We must invite Jesus to be the Lord of our passions.

I'm so very glad you are talking about this. Never yet have I heard a pastor talk about this. My grandson ,at the age of 13who came out as gay. Now going on 18 in February, he now says he is transgender,and wants to go the route of change. I'm so very hurt,and love him,but trying to get answers from God. Please pray 🙏

I’m 26. I was raised seventh day Adventist. My whole life I struggled w my sexuality, I’m also a unwed soon to be mom. However, I believe part of that was bc I tried to cover my sexuality my whole life and just do what “God saw right”. Now I’m more miserable but irregardless lol I needed to hear this. My mother before she passed finally acknowledged who I was, and told me even though she disagrees w my sexuality she still loved me and that it’s between me and God. Anyway, thanks for this

The lord said it is any abomination we are to love the person but hate the spirit of lgbtq or whatever however you said that is a demonic spirit I emphasize again we are to love the person but hate the spirit that is within them it is an abomination unto the Lord yes the lord loves us but it is an abomination to him so who are we to go over God's head God bless amen

We hear you Julie and would add that it's the kindness of God that leads to repentance. This passage from Paul comes to mind when interacting with those who might be in disagreement. 2 Tim 2:24,25 - "And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth," Thanks for taking the time to share with us Julie.
