So as far I know, actually there is no standard maternity leave ..but Mothers are given some time to be away from work. The amount of time that they are allowed to be away ranges between 8 to 10 weeks, and this is to cater for prenatal and postnatal care. They must also receive full pay during their maternity leave period so as to meet their family expenditures. I hope this helps
