I started in the hobby with Amazon baby dolls,then I got 2 Nines O'Nil dolls, 2 Paradise Galeries dolls, Berenguers and now I buy my dolls at Renate's Puppenstube in Germany,they are real therapy dolls they are 3/4 cuddle babies their weighting is lovely❤ for me being severely visual impaired the feeling wenn I pick them up,and of course their cute little expression❤ I don't have a full artist painted doll,for me I think I don't need one because I can't fully appreciate painting details! I'm so blessed to find that Nursery in Germany, they are authentic sculpt Reborned for nursing training, physiotherapy,massage,educational, nursing homes,so I found the perfect place that suits me 😍 All dolls matter! I still have my Amazon dolls and I 'm attached to them❤️🥰😘xxx

The exclusionists don’t care why people collect replicas. It’s authentic or nothing as far as they’re concerned. The concept of people on limited incomes not being able to afford hundreds or even thousands on a single doll is beyond them. I’m not sure they’re capable of putting themselves in someone else’s shoes. It’s a breath of fresh air to hear a collector of authentic dolls such as yourself put a positive, understanding word out into the community. But you never know. Maybe if enough people speak with the voice of reason such as you did in this video, the replica haters will at least just live and let live. No one expects them to rush out and start buying replicas, but maybe their minds can be opened just a crack to show a little understanding.

You are such a breath of fresh air !! Thank u so much for this video!! All of my girls are replicas and I adore them !! It really hurts me when people say hateful things about them ! Many many products are copied or replicated in our world and that seems to be ok but w the reborns it’s not ??? For the life of me I do not understand the cruelty and bullying 🥺. I cannot have any more children , I have crippling anxiety, and have suffered pregnancy loss . My girls fill such a hole in my heart !!! I wish u could afford an authentic reborn again ( I’ve owned one before) but I cannot !! So I actually purchase replicas and have learned how to paint them myself!! I’ve met many wonderful friends in this community!! It’s really pulled me out of some dark times ! I’m actually grateful for the replicas! They allow me to be a part of this community even tho I cannot afford an authentic. We all need to stop this nonsense childish behavior and remember why we’re all here !! For the love of dolls !! Absolutely Gorgeous baby girl! I so happy you spoke on this prospective! You made some very good points! People are getting so caught up in business that’s not theirs! How the sculptors decides how to conduct their business have nothing to do with collectors. We don’t see what’s going on behind closed doors. Thank you for this video!! I think that's the point Renee, the business side of the Reborn community is exactly that... about business monetary purposes... emotional doesn't come into it for authentic reborn collectors, artists and sculptors (not all but most).... acknowledgement of the emotional aspect doesn't come into it for them... it's business for them... that's y the bullying is sooooo rife... the etiquette of business has gone out the window due to their emotional turmoil of replicas being soooo rampant... Yes there are diverse reasons to why and how ppl collect reborns. business and emotional. Teddy is gorgeous... thanks for sharing...

I collect dolls because I have autism and my sister collects with me because it makes her feel better we have all kinds of dolls and we love them very much My first newborn doll was given to me by a neighbor and she didn't want her and then we started adding newborn dolls after that and we love them very much and we have American girl dolls Barbie dolls baby dolls glitter girls from Walmart many American girl dolls Chelsea dolls little dolls I have a Barbie dreamhouse and we hope porcelain dolls life dolls from Walmart because when I was younger my mom would take my dolls and sell them so I have a very good doll collection now with my best friend and she's my sister ❤️❤️

Good topic. Beautiful baby.I have both, authentic and replicas. Way more replicas tho. For me I appreciate art but I have severe c-ptsd and I mostly prefer the replicas for dealing with that. I'm scared of harming the paint of my authentic by over handling that's where my replicas come in. I want my authentic to keep their look and don't want to over handle them. I don't have to worry about that with the replicas. Why can't we just have both and be happy? I have all kinds and most of my authentic don't even have a COA so does that make them less ? It's an honest question I wish someone would answer. And what about Ashton Drake or paradise galleries? I remember when they were considered high end authentic are they still or are they now considered replicas too? I quit doing videos because it is all just so overwhelming.

Ashton Drake & Paradise Gallery collectors used to be the targets of bullying prior to the arrival of replicas. Why? Because they dared refer to them as "reborns". It didn't matter that both Manufacturers advertised the dolls as reborns. (which is why customers were calling them that to begin with) AD & PG dolls became "acceptable" when replicas entered the community & the bullying shifted to replica owners.

That’s exactly what I was trying to make people see, this hobby should be fun and a happy time not something that becomes too overwhelming, I’m sorry that has happened to you ❤️❤️ Ashton Drakes and Paradise Galleries are still authentic dolls, I have an Ashton Drake, I love her. I think a lot of Bountiful babies do not come with COAs but are authentic. But you know what Lucy don’t worry about what baby doll in your collection has paperwork or not, you should just have fun with them, dress them up, roleplay if you like, cuddle them, and forget what anyone says, that’s what I do❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ hugs and blessings xx
