I was honestly disappointed that you guys didn't go on the Wonder of The Seas with the rest of the vloggers at first, but now that I've really thought about it, I'm all Wondered Out. I'm seeing the same content and the same people in everyone else's vlogs and it's basically a Symphony with a few upgrades and a few more feet in length so I'm glad you guys were rebels and decided to do something different!!!

The inaugural sailing of any ship I’ve always found is risky as hell cause they’re not always done building the ship & they haven’t gotten into the swing of service yet & is not really representative of the cruise experience you’ll have say 6 months later and for the rest of the ships life.

Oh good , been waiting for this one. My first cruise ever was the Mexican Rivera on the classic love boat route in a 30,000 ton Princess Ship. That’s where the magic happened. I saw the Milky Way galaxy in all its glory on the top deck of the ship alone at 10 PM while everyone else was in the club and had a religious like experience. I’ve been chasing that first high for over 30 years .

Hi Dee, hi Jay. My wife Audrey and I started watching your cruising videos last year, having found you by chance. You guys are great at making decent videos, you know, videos that are informative and actually worth watching! Thanks for that. We just watched your Navigator Pt 1 and it brought back so many memories. We live in Scotland and have cruised on Navigator 6 times from Southampton. The only ship from that class we haven't been aboard is Voyager. Navigator was our favourite but then RC took it away from the UK. :( See that big ol' sad frown? We thought all the crew members were helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble to them. Loved your Disney Magic cruise videos, especially when the ship's horn blasted first time - priceless! Keep on cruising and above all - keep on making these great videos. Our first Royal cruise was a Mexican Riviera on Mariner of the Seas, which we also liked a lot, so this will be a fun blast from the past for me! Yikes, that corner on the bed would be a problem for my husband, who sleeps on the same side as Jay! Otherwise, for an interior, that's a decent space. The Bamboo Room was not on the Mariner when we were on it, back in the Ye Olde Days! I'd definitely be there a lot. :)

Sadly, it's still bright at night, and we could never figure out how to turn it off. On Odyssey, we had balcony controls on our regular TV, but that didn't seem to be the case this time, so we just drew the curtain across it each night, ha ha... :P

It's a game that passengers play with each other. Hiding rubber ducks around the ship for other folks to find, then they can keep them or re-hide them somewhere else. There's a whole Facebook group called "Cruising Ducks" dedicated to the game!! :D

Going next year and had a couple of questions as 1st time cruisers Do they give you your sea pass card before you enter the ship and if you have a drink package your cup for the soda machine machine or do you have to wait until you check in to your room before you get these?

Also if you need to bring medication and vitamins on your carry on do those have to be in their original prescription containers and and/or vitamin containers so they can check everything?

Awesome! Typically, your keys will be outside your stateroom door onboard the ship these days. Your drink cups should also be inside your cabin, from what we've seen. Prescription medication, etc. is probably safer if you can carry it in the original bottle, just in case they want to verify what it is, but I don't believe it's required. If you have it in some sort of daily pill container or other packaging, I don't see that being an issue. We've never personally traveled with prescriptions ourselves though, so no personal experience!!

There's rumor that cruise ship could be homeport to San Juan in 2023 because there's only 2 ship left for itineraries for 2023-2024.. NAvigator of the Seas and Icon of the Seas.. I higly doubt that Icon of the seas will be offered to San Juan🇵🇷 as homeport but NOWERGIAN put NOWERGIAN VIVa as Homeport in San Juan Winter Season 2023-2024

We don't have any solid picks for the LA area, but we usually stay wherever we can get a deal. I think we had a Marriott property over in Long Beach, no breakfast, no shuttle, etc. so not set up specifically to cater to cruise passengers. But if the price is right, we'll usually go for it, ha ha!! :P

I notice that when you film the promenade area there always seems to be a car parked somewhere. Is this meant to be a photo opportunity for people to sit in the car and get their partner to take a picture? I never see anyone sitting in a car. If they dont want you to sit in the cars then why would they put the cars out there?

Yes, I think it's just a photo op, and they've been discouraging people sitting in them by placing large stuffed animals inside on Allure, Oasis, etc. For Navigator, they just had signs in there to take your photos from the outside, ha ha... :P

Our problem with the Bamboo room on the Mariner was the AWFUL music! It wasn't themed at ALL. It was so boring. No one wanted to be in there. Play some BAMBOO ROOM TYPE music, and maybe people would like it and buy the cute drinks.

It was strange hearing slightly loud pop music all the time, but it was generally pop music that we enjoyed. I feel like they could pull off sort of a ukulele, tiki type music in there, but I feel that would get on people's nerves even more after a while, ha ha... :P

@ParoDeeJay seriously anything would be better than music you hear anywhere. There are lots of different themed music they could play. Tiki, ukulele, reggae, the Beach Boys, cruising themed songs, the list goes on. But sitting in the Bamboo room, listening to top 40 killed the entire vibe. Maybe they used to have live entertainment pre covid? Because that would have been even better.
