Navjeevan is the name of the newspaper founded and published by Mahatma Gandhi, started as a weekly newspaper launched in 1919 and turned into a daily basis from Nov 1, 1947. Also Mahatma Gandhi started a trust named "Navjivan Trust" which is the publishing house of journals in various languages in Ahmedabad. On Account of this, Navjeevan Express gets its name because of connecting Ahmedabad and Chennai.

When I was in Chennai the train started in late 70s or early 80s. The train used to travel on Mumbai route upto Daund and take diversion via Manmad.route. In those days I was very eager to travel but could not do so.❤

Navajeevan is a trust and publishing house established by Mahatma Gandhi in Ahmadabad. Nava - Jeevan means New Life as you rightly mentioned. Probably that should be the reason behind the train connecting Chennai - Ahmedabad. Also, I personally feel SR zone keeps trains names really creative. I always cherish train names such as Thirukkural, Uzhavan, Rockfort, Muthunagar, Ananthapuri, and of course the 4 Tamil kingdoms (Cheran, Chozhan, Pandiyan and Pallavan)

bro its my one the favorite train navjeevan express....i used this train to travel from 2018 to 2020. when i was at gujarat i use this train for our tamilnadu!! both up and down travel, only navjeevan!! one information i want to share you bro that in before corana period the navjeevan 12655 from ahemdabad to chennai gets departed on morning 7am for chennai, i still remember ! iwas travelled on that times and now that time schedules have changed by 9:25pm night .but i will experience that also!! and this train 12656 asusual still same time and same vibe i hade on 2018 to 2020...and now whenever i have my train at chennai central i used to see this train morning about 5am it enters into our chennai central i feel the goosebumps. now iam happy to see this train being explored by our naveen bro....thankyou bro to remember those pleasant journey days!!

Vadodara(Baroda) was the city of the Gaekwad kings and Sayaji Rao w as a well known royal person. The Gaekwads promoted industrialization of Gujarat and before WR there was the BBCI (Bombay Baroda and Central Indian) railway Even today the MS University in Baroda is a big name. During the early days after Navjeevan express was started it used to go via Jalgaon direct to Surat avoiding Bhusawal Jn.In Maharashtra cities the fruit vendors on carts sell a green colored banana called BHUSAWAL KELA. This is the only banana sold in that region.

Navjin doesn’t cover any of the maharashta interior . It mostly goes in mainlines. Jalna- purna- shiridi route covers most of interiors . It’s single track and diesel route

History : This train started when used to run from beach to Ahmedabad via daund manmad route and then changed via kalyan bypass few months before perm diverting via vijayawada ! And source changed to central station ! Then egmore jodhpur express via same route formed , train used to be coimbatore div train with rsa with cheran during icf days when later got changed to LHB became a stand alone rake and adi mas changed from two days one night to two nights one day as per zero based TT
