Ansiblefest 2024 Title: Code, community, and collaboration: An enterprise blueprint for automation success
Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) is working to adopt IT automation by standardizing on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Initial attempts to establish infrastructure as code (IaC) practices were met with resistance, stalling adoption across different departments. By nurturing a collaborative ecosystem, the organization not only dispelled myths around IaC but also created a thriving culture that now enthusiastically embraces automation. In this session, we'll share how establishing a community of practice for IaC turned the tide for the credit union and actionable takeaways, including:
The importance of fostering collective understanding and a shared vision with a community-driven approach.
Strategies to scale user adoption across teams.
Recognizing and navigating IaC adoption pitfalls.
How external partnerships can amplify in-house partnerships.
Speakers:
Craig Mitchell, SRE Manager, Navy Federal Credit Union
Brian Ong, Sr Principal Site Reliability Engineer, NFCU
Louis Roggo, SRE Team Lead, Navy Federal Credit Union
