I am surprised this guy did not get an unsuit discharge. Mitigating circumstances, I suppose. Should have gotten witnesses and written these guys up. UCMJ (military justice) is more direct. Don't have lawyers dancing around definitions and other BS to get their clients off the hook. If I were this guy, I would have also petitioned for a transfer because of the circumstances. He may have likely gotten it, especially if he was doing shore duty and not on ship.

This what the guy wanted and in the end he was happy that is all that matters. He is safe now. What else could one ask for?
