Clogged toilet is one big thing we truly face underway sadly

No toilet compartments when I was in ('67-'71), only a long gang of toilets with a small partition between them -- where you could see the knees of the guy next to you. Racks were open (no curtains or lights).

With the Battleship Missouri there were no small partitions.

I was an HT, 76- 80, I'm impressed all the toilets where working! No much has changed.

I was an HT on an AOR from 84-87. Engineering berthing was 120 plus racks. I had a bottom rack facing a bulkhead ...prime real estate Once I made HT3, I was doing DC work and no more plumbing She's nothing but razor blades and beer cans now

Sure the racks are all ventilated. There is a air ventilation on the right side of each rack.

There are no fat folks in the US Navy, Obesity is kept in check as much as possible, I spent 3 1/2 years living on a Navy ship sleeping in those racks man, berthing compartments smell like sweaty Balls, farts and Ass in the mornings, female berthings have a worse smell, try doing wake ups for 0000 - 0400 watch reliefs and you get a whiff of the females berthing compartment, it aint no perfume.
