I'm glad it worked but I did it in a different way. First put a knot in each leg inflate the jeans and squeeze the waist between your legs then put it under your t-shirt. Lay on your back and float with both hands free that will give you the ability to navigate in the waves and to wave with both arms. Makes it easier to get spotted and it's a better isolation in cold water. Then breath out under the t-shirt that will help also to keep the upper body warm.

Thanks for sharing! I also learned your way (individual leg knots) when we were taught basic fully-clothed underwater safety when I was a junior counselor for summer camp some decades ago. We trained wearing jeans and long sleeves in the pool and how to inflate them (overhead technique mostly) and also to breathe under clothes for warm air. Never thought I'll ever apply it, but you did! Awesome!

this is absolutely crucial. a lot of people dont know how to swim and this method will help poeple from drowning. at least 3-4k people die from drowning in USA each year. This means, at least 20x the people dying from it dont know how to swim. I think this method should be taught in every middle school at the very least.

Ironically though the two of them were engaging in a tryst as both were with their spouses on the cruise and it was the investigation (reviewing security cameras) that exposed their affair, lol

Pants do not hold air this only helps people who just happen to have on windbreaker pants lol
@thirdactwarrior3175 жыл бұрын
Not true. I learned this technique in the Navy in the very pool in the video and I used cotton khaki pants. The fact that the fabric is saturated with water causes a surface tension that holds in the air. The trousers will deflate as the fabric dries out and you have to repeat the process.
@michaellim41655 жыл бұрын
Nope, your wrong. Used this technique in basic Army training. The wet pants will hold in the air locking it from scraping. However, you will still have to maintain it by dosing it with water to keep it from drying out. Of course you would have to occasionally blow air into it. It's much, much better than treading water. Try it if you dont believe me.
