Oh my, how my favorite place in the world has changed. I travelled Europe in 1978. Out of all the places I visited Naxos was the place I will always call home. Back then it was quieter. I met many beautiful Greek friends and fellow travellers there, which I have never forgot, especially Theophilos Grigoropulos who owned a beautiful taverna on Agia Ana's beach. Miles of beautiful white sand and blue clear sea. I just fell in love with it and and the people. Went back many times for months on end and never wanted to come back. 😪. This is where I met the love of my life, Theophilos. I will always regret not staying with him when he asked. At the time I was with my ex husband. I remember getting on the ferry to leave and wanted to dive of back to him. My dear Theophilos where ever you are I hope you've had a happy life and maybe sometimes thought of me, as I have thought of you many, many times over the years. My love and life will always be on Naxos. Love always Sonja. 💖 Xx
