As Naya Rivera's family, friends and fans continue to mourn her death, her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey is also struggling with the news. PEOPLE magazine reports that the actor, who shares 4-year-old son Josey with the late "Glee" star, has barely slept since her disappearance. "It's just a nightmare," a source said. "Although he wasn't with Naya, it's Josey's mom. Josey needs his mom. Ryan can't imagine raising [him] without Naya. It's the most devastating situation."

@Nyesha Harris 100% correct on that. Hes 4 years old right? Everyone different but personally i wouldn't even take the boy to the funeral. Now hear me out guys. When i was 4yrs old i was traumatized, wont go into the details but my father was caught and arrested for child m, and unfortunately i remember a lot of it. But i was more traumatized by the event's that unfolded after the fact. And my mother seen me freaking out and hurting, scared and she decided she cared more for my mental health than what some deem justice. Now yes different circumstances but trauma is trauma. Its like movie playing out in the mind and the emotions can range to fear,panic, just simple anixety. Now what my mother did was save some of my sanity. I believe it could make things worse for the kid. I could be totally off base. Just an opinion bssed from my circumstances

Oh yeah they stayed really good friends. The photo of the three of them together on Josey's first day of preschool is so sweet. And then all the Halloween costumes they coordinated together to make Josey happy. And Ryan is still really close to Naya's family and he's going to be forever connected with them now.

I think he was drugged by the mother with a sedative and she went swimming and never looked back and got tired and drowned she knew without the life jacket and the boat anchored she would have never survived. I know it sounds harsh but mental illness is a real thing. The people who found the kid never clarify if he was wet on the 911 call but the cops when asked said he was. The story changed from he and his mom went swimming and she never made it back to she helped him on the boat and when he looked back she disappeared. Nobody not even the cops are saying anything about her not wearing a life jacket or the fact that she didnt anchor the boat as a safety hazard. They only giving accounts of what happen like what she did was ok. Something not right. They leaving out too many details. JS.

I just realized something. The officer said that the son was wrapped up in a towel. Now why would a four year old get help from his mom, run and go get a towel then realize his moms was gone and go to sleep. That just makes no sense. Sincerest condolences to her family and my heart truly goes out to that baby. The last memory of mom shouldn’t be watching her disappear. I know he’s surrounded with love and as he grows, if he struggles with certain things, I hope he receives all the help and support possible. It’s sad but I just see her saying to herself that I know how to swim, I’ll be okay. That stretch of beach has strong currents and had a lot of drownings. It’s just unfortunate that strong currents can take down the best of swimmers. I just wish she put on that life jacket. This was a teachable moment for me. May she RIP.💕

I'm just so, so sad. And that's just me as a fan. I can't imagine her poor family and all her close co-stars and friends! I hope as Josey gets older and thinks about his mother and her passing, he knows she loved him dearly and that she did everything in her last moments to make sure he was safe.

It annoys me when someone passes away and people want that persons family and friends to speak their grief. They don’t have to. They dont have to share to us how they feel, or make a post on Instagram or twitter with 3 paragraphs on how they felt about that person to show that they care. We all know that they are extremely hurt, that’s not something that they have to prove to us who only know Naya as Santana or Hilary or whatever character she played, when they know her for much more, as a family member and close friend.

I really don’t understand how she has enough energy to put him on the boat but not herself. And he had a life jacket on, so he would’ve been fine, why not pull yourself up first then reach in and grab him? A full grown adult who was an experienced swimmer suddenly runs out of energy and drowns? I can’t imagine drowning and I’m not even a great swimmer but you bet your ass I’m going to tread until I’m to safety no matter how exhausted I get. I don’t think she was planning on swimming. I think her baby jumped in just having fun like kids do, she jumped into grab him, the boat drifted, she tired out and either a) lost her energy after pushing him on the boat or b) got tangled in the debris that fills the lake and couldn’t pull herself up.

Just goes to show the purest love of a mother. She must’ve had only minutes left before going under, to put all her final energy into pushing Josey up into the back of that boat. Even though a string regular swimmer; that must’ve been a strong undercurrent to tire an adult that much as to drown. My heart bleeds for Josey
