It's nice to know that Somi is still vivid in Nayeon and Momo's minds. Momo's "she had such an impactful presence" says a lot. I wonder what Twice would have been like if Somi was the 10th member? Nayeon would love it. All of them would I think.

It's been so long now that adding a new member might mess up group dynamics. Still, i'd be nice to see a few collabs on a "What could have been" version of TWICE. Throw some of the other Sixteen people (who are still active) in there too. It'd have to be at an award show event where special collabs like that happen.

@@GleeChan I wasn't talking about adding a member to Twice. Somi wouldn't want that anyway. I was wondering what it would have been like if she had been made a member from the beginning of the group's formation. You know like the "What If" comics with alternative possible realities. A collab with Twice and Somi could be fun. Especially if she gets to work with them and perform with them over several weeks or months. YGE and JYPE wouldn't agree to such a thing in my opinion.

If Somi was added as the 10th at the Sixteen finale, she would’ve affected Tzuyu, Dahyun and Nayeon the most. Tzuyu, because Somi would’ve become the maknae, and that changes the dynamics. Dahyun, because in the early Twice days, of all the younger members, Dahyun was invited to the most variety shows because she was loud, entertaining and willing to do funny dances. If Somi was around, I think Somi would’ve gone and Dahyun would’ve been lost in the shuffle. And Nayeon,because Somi is the one girl who’s louder, funnier and more outgoing than even Nayeon. Nayeon took on this “fake maknae” personae because Tzuyu’s quietness allowed her to. With Somi as maknae, there would’ve been no possible “fake maknae.”

@@rdpaik I LOVE your thinking about what would have happened. I don't completely agree with your conclusions but I can see they are largely correct. I agree the dynamics would have changed a lot with Somi added to Twice, but I think all 10 of them would have overall benefited a lot from Somi being added despite any apparent or actual disadvantages. With Somi's charisma and beauty she would have attracted even more attention to the group, increasing their success even more. All 10 of them would love each other's company so their would be even more satisfaction and joy for all of them had Somi been added. Somi's personality is amazingly compatible with Twice's personalities. I believe Nayeon would still be the fake maknae even with Somi in the group. Simply because Nayeon is naturally very cute and charming and the oldest. Nayeon would have behaved the same way and people would still call her the fake maknae. Somi being louder or maybe attracting a lot of attention wouldn't cause people to NOT notice Nayeon's cuteness, charm and charisma. They would have still noticed and called Nayeon a fake maknae. Notice that Irene and Jiu and many other oldest members are considered fake maknaes. It's a K pop formula. But Jiu, Irene and Nayeon ARE NATURALLY extremely cute and charming and the oldest so people will always call them fake maknaes.

Somi already debuted as an idol before she leaves JYPE. she's more like an ex jyp artists rather than a trainee. out of all the contestants of sixteen it was only somi and chaeryoung who stayed at the company after the survival show. She was still under JYPE during I.O.I and other more activities as an idol. she left before itzy debuted.

I like Somi, but thinking back at Sixteen, I'm glad how it works out. Momo is given a second chance and Jeongyeon edging out Somi in that close decision. I just can't think of anyone else for TWICE but the current members.

@@gurbindersekhon8240 they didn't treat her bad, she was too young to debut in twice, she did well in ioi. And JYP had planned to debut her in ITZY but she wanted to go solo after ioi. And JYP doesn't manages soloist, I've never heard of any soloist from jype apart from JYP himself lol. They just can't manage soloist. If she was in itzy, yuna would've never debuted.

@@wiseversa135 that's not true, the most probably reason why Somi left JYPE was because she was taken from de ITZY lineup to avoid Miss A case all again. And yes, JYPE had soloist, they just manage them pretty badly. Suzy (Miss A), Sunmi, Yubin and HA:TFELT (Wonder Girls) and Yerin Baek and Park Jimin (15&) start solo activities when they still are in JYPE. She probably left the company because she knew soloist aren't JYPE strenghts and if she didn't debut in a group there she would probably just be waisted.

Oh same... I can remember this one funny moment where it was the first day of 8th grade and myself and my two best friends were all in the same history class, screw it I'm gonna tell the story, if you don't care then don't read this reply. So anyway it was myself, my friend Matt (yes same name, lmao) and my other friend Aaron (not gonna name any last names obv) and the teacher of our history class (or at least I think it was history, that sounds correct in my brain, but which class it was isn't really important to the story, so whatever) was doing attendance and calling out students names, as you'd imagine. He get's to Aaron, and this guy literally says "A-A-Ron" and half the class just started snickering, and it took all of my willpower NOT to because I didn't want to upset him but it was too fricking funny. He corrected himself after. Cut to when class was dismissed, and we were on the way out the door, and myself, and my iconic sense of humor, say "A-A-Ron, don't forget your backpack!" and he just looks at me blankly, and then we all walk out the class. Aaron leads me and the other Matt to a corner of the hall and just bursts out laughing hysterically, and then we join him. Bunch of nutjobs laughing in the corner XD Aaron then asked me to just call him that for the rest of the year, I swear this is why he was my friend, not only was he not upset about the teacher misreading his name, but he saw the humor in it and just went with it! I wish more people were like that. Thanks for mentioning moments from middleschool to remind me of this.

@@HappyMatt12345 No problem, it actually made me laugh too lol I wanna share a moment too though. It's not necessarily funny, but definitely memorable: I went to a Catholic girl's school (not as bad as in the movies) and was out in the hall during classes (I don't remember why) with a friend. Between the classroom doors were big lockers, so we couldn't be seen from one side and suddenly hear two other younger girls coming our way. We automatically hide and see them pressing toilet paper to their mouths while walking by. When they were nearly around the next corner one of them asks the other "What do we tell the nurse? We can't tell her that we were kissing and our tongues got caught in each other's braces..." When they were gone my friends were stunned at first and then started hysterically laughing like who would've known?! They were from 7th grade maybe, not older. The nurse-job is actually done by students, so no one would've cared about them kissing each other, but it was just such a big WTF-moment that that actually happens, as it's like the worst-case scenario when kissing with fixed braces lmao
