Nazaré, PORTUGAL! Leaving Lisbon for village life. Americans living in Portugal.

We are 90 minutes outside of Lisbon this week in the GORGEOUS village of Nazaré, Portugal! And we moved here! This village is SO MUCH more than just surfing. We explore and show you the village, the famous seven skirt matriarchs who sell sun dried fish on the beach, eat at the best local restaurant, drink Portuguese cherry liquor, and show you the BEST place to watch the GIANT 100 FOOT waves.

We are an American family from Nashville, Tennessee who moved to Lisbon, Portugal a year ago to make traveling our lifestyle. We sold almost everything we own, and embarked on this new adventure to go see the world. With our two daughters, we are currently traveling with goals to see everything from Lisbon to Paris, and from Istanbul to Tokyo.

Goosebumps and endearment tears... wonderful video. You should do a video on the nearby town of Alcobaça. The local monastery is 800 years old and it is one of the most remarkable middle ages building in Europe. Don't be fooled by the façade. It was built in the 1700s. The interior of the church is still the original. The kitchen is unforgettable. And there is the story of king Pedro I and his lover made queen after death, Inês de Castro, to be told.

This was a lovely look at Sítio and Nazaré. I consider watching the winter sunset, over the powerful giant waves, from the cliffs at the lighthouse… one of the (many) highlights from my 3 months on the Silver Coast. It is definitely magical!

The bread is called bolo do caco and is from Porto Santo/Madeira Island, now you can find almost every Portugal like the pastéis de nata

The goverment is buying local houses and resell them short after? And I respect all imigrants that move here to work and help their families. They suffer with house crisis as much as portuguese.
