Nazare is principally a small fishing village that became world famous for its big waves and the people that ride them. But this edit is not about the surfers but the beauty in the power of these incredible monster waves. When the ocean pushes out of the Nazare canyon to create the incredible cinematic moments. Edited to fitting classical music. This video is the beauty & the power, shot on one of the biggest swells to hit Nazare this winter season. Enjoy.

At some level we (let's say me I guess) are desensitised how big, mean, life threatening these behemoths are. Your videos Tim bring back to light the majesty and presence these swell events deserve. The accompanying musical score also plays a large part in getting my focus into the waves, gets me into the scene and into your frame, onto some or one of those monsters! Watching Jaws, Mav's, Naz every time it breaks from any number of photographs tends to do this. I must say however I do enjoy how you put yours together the most! Well done mate. I agree with you about the vision and I must admit this classical score really works better than other genres....as Its very dramatic. But as an aging ex surfer and a musician for over 50 yrs, I really just prefer the sounds of the waves pounding, the surfers hooting, seagulls skwawking and the wind...Is It just me ? Sorry Tim, I love your work, but Its a bit like trying to watch porn with backing music 😂!

I think the Atlantic has the upper hand over the Pacific when it comes to sheer power of the ocean, these are the biggest waves on the planet!

No. Just a canyon virtually right on shore. The Antarctic pacific ocean is the roaring 80s you couldn't imagine how big thosr waves are especially with the southern polar vortex. Tneyre recording 150-300ft waves in the middle of the Ocean 🪸🌊
