I'm 58 y/o and my first concert was Rush in the summer of 79 and after that, I was hooked on Rock N Roll. I remember seeing these guys with Blackfoot. Early on, my friends and I started taking a bus from the suburbs of Detroit straight into the city to go to concerts. The only issue was that buses didn't run late enough to get back home, so one of our parents or older brother/sister would have to pick us up. My friend Jimmy got his driver's licence before any us and his dad was part owner of a a Ford dealership, so he had a car before his 16th birthday. We went to every concert we could. I played travel A hockey, so I missed a few concerts during hockey season. It amazes me to this day that our parents were cool with all the concerts we went to, although it was a different time back then. As long as we made it home after the concert, which we always did, they didn't care too much. Good times man!

I'm right there with you brother. I grew up in L.A. and it wasn't unusual to see Queen, Aerosmith and The Police in the same month. Bands just came through all year, sometimes playing 3 nights at the Forum or at Angels' stadium on a bill that would be mind blowing today. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

SAME, dudes! 😅😅 Had saved up my allowance and school lunch money for about 3 months to buy the then much anticipated Brand newly released Nazareth Hair Of The Dog 8-track tape and I was soooo flippin excited to finally get to play it and listen to it asap just as soon as I got it unwrapped back in the car on the ride back home from shopping with my mom and siblings that day. Was LOVING IT and was grooving like crazy on that 8-track until it finally got to about the 6th... "Now you're messin' with a Son Of A B!-!!!tch"... on Hair of the Dog, before my mom finally figured out exactly what Dan was saying/singing and then---- GASP, "WHAT THE HELL DID HE JUST SAY?!? DID HE JUST SAY WHAT TF I THINK HE SAID, R*****"?!?..... push-jab at button, roll window down (had to hand crank 'em back then) and then.. FLIIIIIP.... right out the damn car window went my much beloved brand new less than 20 minute old Nazareth 8-Track Tape that took me literally •MONTHS• of sacrificing school lunches and any new clothes/games/toys to save up to buy it at $8.99 in the 70s. And the worst part of the whole thing?.. was that my •MOM• had just said a whole hella lot worse in all of her ridiculous stupid long-winded griping and scolding about it all during the rest of that ride home with all of her "mock outrage" in front of my younger siblings... than the damn •SONG• had ever said.🤷♂️😅😅😅🙄 However- Later on.... I •DID• end up re-buying that same Nazareth Hair Of The Dog album a few years later when when it had come out on those brand newly released fancy schmancy ●CASETTE TAPES● that had then became all the rage for Boom Box lovers everywhere in the late 70s-mid 80s. And also ended up re-buying it at least 3 more times... the last 2 times on CDs... throughout all the years afterwards as I wore out each and every one of them listening to that album over and over and over again. 😅😂😂🤣😂

Back in July 2015 I was at Manny's house in Texas. He was showing me his guitar collection when he pulled out this nice maroon colored Robin brand guitar that he bought while playing there in Houston in1981. I ended up with the Robin along with an original "Nazareth" professional touring guitar case marked Robin which he kept the guitar in. He said at the time he bought the guitar that Robin was a new company at the time and he went to check out the company before the concert. Some people have said that Robin did not sell guitars till late 80s - early 90s. Manny said he bought it 1981 when this concert took place in this video was made. This was the It's Naz (SNAZ) album. I called the company anyway, which by the way they no longer make guitars anymore, and gave them the serial number. They verified that they did sell the guitar to Manny in 1981. Boy, I know this concert in Houston, Texas perfectly well.. Why, because I was there.. It was at the Sam Houston Coliseum which is no longer there and it was right next door to the Music Hall. Nazareth were headlining and the open band was Thin Lizzy. I have my very old ticket stub right in front of me now remembering that show. It was also during their No Mean City album tour and they were awesome.. I love Gun's and Roses, Krokus and even Brian Johnson of AC/DC, but Dan was the man back then with Nazareth.

I ran the highways from east coast to mid states working on oil rigs . I was 17 and throwing chain on a cocain crew we were fast at tripping in and out. Man it was so easy to get a job and travel. The music was the best ever, never to be repeated.

Thank You so much , sir, for the video. In 1981 I was teenager in the USSR and went crazy for the band.Ramazanaz, Play the Game,Telegramm,Hair of the Dog,Expect No mercey,No Mean City. Yepp ,there was DP and LZ.But Nazareth was the music for teenage soul.

Love Hurts...an absolute iconic song written by Boudleaux Bryant for The Everly Brothers. Due to certain circumstances The Everly's never released it as a single yet it was a big song for them in an era where album tracks (i.e. not singles) often were seldom heard. Their version is immaculately good. That said, the definitive version, in spirte of a stellar Emmylou Harris' cover, is renowned as the definite one. It's here and it kills.

Saw them in the 80's arena rock days and then in a club up the creek in the late 90's and that was awesome. A sound company I was working for at the time had the gig and I wasn't working so I just went and had 90's concert fun because it was the 90's when they played up the creek. Blue Oyster Cult played that club also and /i saw Exile in that club before they turned country right after I want to kiss you all over was a hit. in the 70's.
