Gmod or Garry's Mod is a game full of angry children and admin's abusing their power. It's not hard to find salty people in Gmod who will do anything to get you banned. Star Wars RP is the main gamemode PixelCat plays, but there's plenty of other servers like DarkRP, Harry Potter RP, Halo RP, Border RP, and much much more. Garry is working on a game called S&box which is a sequel to Gmod.

I played on a German milsim server once and it was fun. Very active and lots of action, I managed to become a radio operator and it was a lot of fun calling in artillery on people. I hope Gary doesn't lump in German milsims with Nazi rp servers. That would suck. But I bet the nazis will invade the German milsims and ruin them because they wanna be nazis and everyone else just wants to drive a panzer and talk with funny accents. I remember there was one WW2 RP server which could be called in a way which the title says but it was actually pretty decent. People there RP'd characters and not portrayed their own ideas into them. Sadly servers like this don't last long, especially when they decide to have them moderated and ban racist, nazis and such people like that. But it was fun while it lasted. WW2 servers with actual RP and not populated from head to toe with fascists are not very common. Well, I guess we still have HL2RP.

Nazi ideology revolves around a certain ethnicity being superior to that of another and some ethnicities being a burden to society that have to be eradicated. Communism on the other hand at its core is just a flawed economic theory. In order to enforce communism millions generally die and or as a result of failures of the communist economic system. However that is a result of noncompliance and the system not working as intended, which is different from the ideology itself demanding murder. This is why nazism in many countries is illegal and advocating for it breaks hate speech laws while communism doesn't. The result may be similar but the cause is completely different and the morality of the ideologies them selves are completely different. So there's quite a jump still from banning an ideology built on hatered to banning an economic theory.

There were Communist states that persecuted Gays and Jews for example, but first and foremost all Communist states persecuted their own citizens. In the early Soviet Union the Police had quotas that demanded them to arrest a certain amount of people and every 5th citizen experienced Gulag. The Gulag system was a massive economic branch. So it was by no means just or mainly a failed economic system, it was an authoritarian terror reign, that destroyed and still destroys millions of lives, with the help of secret Police, public execution squads, death and labour camps and so on.

So your point between different types of fascism makes no sense, since we are not talking about fascism as a whole, but very specifically nazism. We are also not talking about practicality. We are talking about the ideology itself. All communist states persecuting their own people is an issue of practicality, not the ideology of communism itself. Communism which is about establishing a classless society with the means of production being commonly owned. Common ownership for example doesn't necessarily require government ownership despite that is what we see in the real world when communism takes charge. You are describing issues that arise when communism is put into action, since enforcing communism requires an authoritarian state that will cause issues of authoritarianism. This is not an argument against the ideology itself but rather an argument against what happens when the ideology is enforced. Communism theoretically could exist without anyone harming anyone. If everyone agreed that of their good will the means of production will now be under common ownership and we will distribute wealth equally among everyone (including wealth currently owned and all that is produced) we would have a communist system that wouldn't require a state or any form of enforcement and as a result nobody would have to be harmed. The institution of it isn't realistic because people will not work as hard as they do now if they get paid equally regardless. People will not want to give up the wealth they already hold. Why put in extra effort or any effort at all if the outcome is the same regardless. These are practical issues. Nazism on the other hand cannot exist even in theory without harming others (if you want to make even more unrealistic assumptions than under commumism then "harming themselves"). Even with every person agreeing on the ideological beliefs of it some people would have to not exist. In nazism jewish people couldn't exist as the ideology itself claims that they are inherently harmful to the point that they have to be eradicated. So with everyone agreeing on it we would still need the jewish people to be deleted or with them agreeing to the ideology they would willingly delete themselves. Either way objectively speaking they would be harmed be it by others or by themselves. The other way would be that the jewish population simply doesn't exist to begin with. However that isn't possible given that they do. Lets hope I don't have to explain to you the difference between making people magically disappear as if they never existed and people all thinking the same way. That is the difference between the ideologies. One is inherently immoral where as the other one is not. Belief in something that is moral but unachievable isn't the same as belief in something that in its essence is immoral. Just because the outcome of the two is similar or even identical is irrelevant when the topic is about the morality of the ideology itself. If you still have a hard time understanding the difference between ideological values and the real world effect of trying to apply said values I don't know what to tell you. Hopefully you will now at least try to engage with the ideology rather than listing issues that happen when it is enforced. If not it is clear that you are unable to differentiate theory from reality. If you want to give examples they should address why a classless society where everyone willingly (key word here you see the "willingly" part. It is irrelevant whether its realistic or not given we are talking about ideological theories that don't have to be realistic) distributes all wealth evenly is bad (actually you would have to show that it is at least as bad as the theoretical nazi society but lets just start with this)

How I think about politics is a bit dualistic. Firstly we have populist politics, this is essentially the politics of the career politician. The career politician generally does not care about making the world a better place, but mostly about benefitting themselves and their friends. This correlates well with the knowledge we have about psychopaths, they are more likely to blindly pursue power. Then there are the parties that are the unpopular truth seekers, these are usually small, and while they may not all agree with each other, they probably all genuinely believe that their ideas will make the world a better place. In relation to this, I think the most important thing is to not make your ideology into a religion, and not presume that one is right about everything. In relation to this, it is utterly dangerous to tie your self-image to a political ideology or party, because you always need to accept that you might have been wrong, like in science, and update your understanding as time goes on. In essence there is no difference between being religious and being strongly ideological. So in essence, it is always important to take the best from everything/everyone, which can only be done through honest dialogue. It is sad to see the massive polarization in the world these days, which in my view, is the consequence of these populist politics, which in the end is a consequence of having a democracy, because in essence democracy is a battle for the minds of the people, and some psychopaths just wants to win.

i think its a bit more of a nuanced subject than people give it credit for. like i used to be active on a server called POG 1942rp and the whole idea of this server opposed to all these cringe serious rp servers is that it played like regular old dark rp. it wasnt deep roleplay like a serious rp or a rockford or something it was the whole idea that you can change your nickname or job name to whatever you can be voted in for different positions like normal dark rp not a shitty whitelist system. and the best part is that it was all about shitposts. we would just do stupid shit all the time. i remember multiple times making a secret society or a jew training camp where we would gather all the jews of the world and have like 25 people invade the reichstag. it was just a fun time. it seemed way different compared to literally any other ww2 rp server. but i think its also very irresponsible to actually censor people on a sandbox game. especially one thats not actually marketed towards children. idk im not a nazi and think being a nazi is wrong but thats not to say wrong people cant exist.

From past experiences on the 1942 to servers I never ran in into any nazis like people who were legitimately nazis But I think this new era of ww2 servers is filled with to many serious players. There use to be another popular ww2 game mode back in 2014 that you can be German army or resistance and you could be bread makers, wine makers etc, more of a ww2 dark rp which was a lot more appropriate lmao

Honestly, the reason why they are getting banned is that they act as a hub for raiding other servers. Think about it for a second, what kind of people does this edgy aesthetic of these servers attract? Think about them as late 2016 to 2017 Leafy's fanbase, which even if it is contained within itself had been responsible for raids on other channels due to toxicity they spread. And this does not go over the fact that whatever or not the people there are actually hateful. That's not the point. The point is that this edgy aesthetic of those servers inevitably attracts the very those who want to ruin fun for everyone by using those servers as a hub to attract others so they can organize raids on other servers. Like why do you think most raids on GMod is followed by the spams of swastika and repetition of racial slurs? And that ruins for everyone, as really those servers which those people dwell on is not really that fun at all, which just cements the point that they act as a hub, not for the actual or genuinely funny RP.

When I played 1942 RP years ago it was fun, none of the people I played with were actual nazis. To me it seems like something Gary wanted to do for brownie points on the internet. There are more pertinent issues that Gary/Facepunch choose to ignore. Pedophiles are likely to be around anywhere that adults and kids play together in real time, the only thing that can really be done is individually removing them.
