Also when I was little, I had a fear of mushrooms on the ground wouldn't want to go near them Probably because of seeing old episodes of 1960s series "The Outer Limits" with alien mushrooms growing on astronauts

Seeing that whole exposed plant, rootball and all reminds me of a old Sci-Fi movie about killer plants called "Day of the Triffids " Where IIRC, a meteor shower blinds most of human population and mutates Vesus Fly Trap plants into killer plants
