This is the best NBA VIDEO production ever made and I love it so much because it became an intricate part of my teenage years for a while after me and my brothers bought it in 2003. Years of watching it over and over again made me fall in love with the game more and more. The story telling by Will Lyman makes it even better.

Thank you for such a high quality upload. I remember torrenting this back in high school (2004) and watching it again and again and annoying my friends by repeatedly showing it to them when they would come over. My favorite section: 26:22, teamwork.

MaxwellD13 true nba fans will never forget the golden era 80s and 90s..... it just doesn't get any better than 80s lakers and celtice and pistons and young Jordan.. I laugh when newby fans think today's small ball teams are superior to 80s lakers and celtics... today's teams are actually much smaller than the elite big men from the golden days .... Showtime Lakers and Celtics would own today's NBA easily... prime bird was putting up better numbers than LeBron against tougher teams and rules.. imagine what they would do in this pussy touch foul league .... I still haven't seen a frontline even close to bird-mcchale-parish all 3 nearly 7 foot .. mcchale was like pau gasol but much much tougher and better inside and parish was a shot blocker and bird was a slow white boy who was fundamentally superior and smarter than anyone. . Bird was superior to LeBron passing and shootimg and closing out games only thing LeBron has is strength and speed and jumping ability ... young fans think athletism is the most important thing but it's truly not ... it's sad today's sports announcers are tryna push the lebron is the greatest of alltime narrative it's absurd and laughable period... do you think Jason Terry would ever out perform Jordan in the finals??? No way Jordan's bulls would've lost to the 2011 mavs no way... if Jordan came into today's NBA he would average 40 plus a game easily .. only 1 person can compare to Jordan offensively and that's prime kobe... LeBron is a stat padder but he is a liability on the free throw line in crunch time.. and he shys away from the late game shots ... Jordan never came up short in the finals his last shot in the finals was a game winner for the championship

Chick Hearn, for one of the few times, just got the call wrong. That was a two pointer. That game was played December 11, 1987, and at the Celtics were leading 114-113, and Magic's 2-pointer won the game 115-114.
@redpillfreedom6692

That's because the audio was lifted from a game against Denver in 1988 or 1989; Magic actually made a three-pointer in that instant.

There is no Magic or Bird type of players since they retired. But there are so many MJ copycats trying to be another hero since late 90s. If someone can bring back Magic style of unselfish game to the league, that will be nice.

Yeah but who other than kobe Bryant was able to duplicate Jordan's complete offensive arsenal and the footwork and midrange game???? Kobe is literally the closest thing to Jordan u can get ... but i get what your saying forsure man... kids today mock the 80s and 90s tbey truly think today's watered down small ball pussy ball is above the golden era of the 80s and 90s and even early 2000s.... id put the 86-87 celtics against any team of today in a 7 game series...name a better frontline than bird-mcchale-parish??? ? I would say LeBron is overall better than prime.bird but peak birds best mvp season is better than lebrons best mvp season .. bird is superior passer and closer and is far superior fundamentally ... there will never ever be a white player as good as bird again...dirk and nash was good but bird was special man... the 80s lakers and celtics teams are far superior than any other team from any era period ... kids today say the warriors would run 80s lakers outta the building hahaha magics lakers was Showtime they could run and gun and then slow the game down with Kareem and bang inside ... I love nba basketball but today's era is the weakest I've seen ever it truly is man... there's no elite all-time great centers in today's league .. don't get me wrong Anthony Davis and LeBron and curry and Durant and Westbrook and harden could compete on any era forsure but i can 50 hall of famers in the 80s and 90s and half was elite big men.... only reason we are in a small ball era is cause there's no more elite centers like Shaq who can slow the game down and dominate inside on offense and defense ..... scoring 120 points in today's era would only be like 100 to 105 in the 80s and 90s and early 00s .. I can't even debate someone who thinks today's players are superior cause it's laughable and absurd .. today's players lack fundamentals and discipline.... for the people who say bird couldn't compete in today's NBA go watch 92-93 bird bad back and all he still could own people... espn and kids born in the early 2000s are trying there best to push LeBron as the greatest player ever hahaha but all the former players and experts say the same thing that jordan and even kobe are superior offensively and defensively....lebrons 7 straight finals trips is so overrated cause he hasn't had any competition in the east since the kg-pierce-ray Celtics got old .... Jordan had to beat elite east teams like Detroit and Boston and shaq and penny and Reggie Miller's pacers and the Knicks.... kobe had to face duncans spurs and webbers kings and prime melos nuggets and rockets and jazz ... LeBron gets to face the bobcats and raptors and pacers and bulls hahahaha come on that's pathetic

I just found out today those two Chamberlain blocks on Kareem were just two of ten blocks he had (5 against young prime Kareem) in the deciding game of the 1972 WC Finals when Wilt was nearly 36 years old, right before they won the title. That was a rare series where West was struggling and Wilt had to put the team on his back and dominate down the stretch to upset the reigning champs after being down by ten in the fourth quarter. He also had 24 rebounds, which for any other player except perhaps Russel would sound ludicrous but that’s just a normal Tuesday night for Chamberlain.

StylezYung that's the only comparassion between the two .. Larry is a top 10 alltime player and arguably the best small forward all-time.. yes LeBron is superior athletically and durability but bird was superior passer-shooter-closer and fundementaly ... . Bird was just as good as Jordan in the clutch ..... sadly there will never be another white man as good as Larry legend ... it's amazing a man who wasn't fast who couldn't jump high could still win 4 mvps and dominate in the best era all-time..... average fans don't understand that Jordan only started winning titles cause birds Celtics and magics lakers got old .. yes Jordan beat magics lakers in the 90 finals but Kareem had retired and magic still took the bulls to 6 games ... Bird owned Jordan in head to head matchups... Bird use to school pippen

TheMultiGamer23 I know buddy it's sad man. I was fortunate enough to watch the golden years 80s and 90s and let me tell ya man today's NBA is watered down compared to then . Don't ever let today's moron fans tell ya todays players are superior it's simply not true at all man... if anything todays nba is smaller than 80s and 90s .... name 10 better players from today than jordan-bird-magic-kareem-moses-hakeem-isiah-karl Malone -dr j and Clyde the glide drexler and sir Charles and Stockton and the rain man and the glove and young shaq and David Robinson and mamy many more .... the 80s lakers and celtics would beat any team from today in a 7 game series ... today's warriors are to small inside to beat top 5 all-time teams .. Showtime Lakers could run and gun and slow the game down and dominate with Kareem inside....and birds Celtics had the best frontline ever with bird-mcchale-parish.... people forget how great Kevin mcchale was man .. he was pau gasol but much better and stronger inside he was a 22 and 10 guy and parish was a 15 and 10 guy and shot blocker and Larry joe bird was a 26-12-8 guy
