I got shot creator by mostly using Off Spin shots which actually works great. You shake off your guy easy and it counts for shot creator. I got it after 10 games or so making 6 to 7 shots like that.

To get shot creator you have to do a moving step back jumper which on Xbox is when moving lateral to the hoop, press x, and then hold x to shoot. You can translate that to ps4/3

The running fade doesn't count towards Shot Creator, nor do they benefit from it. Shot Creator is for pull-ups, spin jumpers, and hop steps. :/

Smoove even though you're like a 2K master, dribble-pullup leaning shots don't count towards shot creator. So you've wasted some season games taking those shots. Only spin, hop, or pivoting-foot jumpers count towards those. I suggest more gather step jumpers as well.
