Once you get team takeover take your point guard make your own myplayer set a screen and fade, drive the ball, both players should go towards you and then kick out to open 3 for yourself

So I’m trying out dribble packages with a 80 ball handle KD sigs and I’m noticing that my escape combos are different once I make a good play do I need a 85 or 86 ball handle to unlocks these “pro dribble” like moves because I want to keep them it’s hard practicing with moves I don’t have all the time

beating the CPU is easy some primitive set plays (with a "dive" or "give" in their name, for example), 1-5 pick'n'rolls with the other 3 players spreading the floor (like in the 21 delay freelance), lead passes or whatever the proper name for them, when you hold down the Y button

Can you do one for bigs as well? I used to press and hold L1 (LB for xbox) to have the cpu run a play to get me open but It doesn't seem to work consistently this year. More often than not, it literally does nothing and as a big with no ball handle, every player seems to stick right at my hip even if I have a step or two on them because of the wild "glue" animations the cpu seems to get on the player. Its just really hard to grind shooting badges on a big if you dont have squad mates because rec randoms just flat out refuse to believe that there are other builds besides the main ball handler that can actually shoot the ball and every cpu player seems to get amazing close out contests even if their perimeter defense is bad because thats 2k for ya. Personally I've always had good luck running a pick and fade with the CPU ball handler. 9/10 the ai hedges and sticks, and they don't switch it. Just run to the opposite site that the ball handler goes to and that should help get easy catch and shoot threes with a the big. I have a 6'10 glass stretch build and got most my shooting badges with that. Another good one, if you can get space creator Hof and run hopstep threes. Take a step or two towards the basket, as soon as you bump an ai, pull left stick towards the three and tap x once to activate the hopstep. Can be tricky to get all your animations down so you can time it we'll, but I know for a fact it works with bigs

@@garretwomack8696 thanks, I'll definitely try it. Although my big is slow because he's 7'2 but I hope it works because he is a mammoth off ball lol. Finishing and defense badges are super easy to get in my career and playmaking I can get in the Rec from all of the outlets. Its just shooting thats the problem lol

If you’re a big and want shooting badges stand just below the hash on the sideline, call for the ball when they bring it up the court and shoot. Usually the AI won’t even cross the 3pt line.

The tap L1 to call for plays used to work... I don't know which patch broke it but it defitnely needs to be brought to 2K's attention

@@JayyLowe no you just need to get the on court badge. For whatever reason it lets you early on, then when the coaches bench you again, if you aren't a pg, you need the on court coach to call for those plays again. Super annoying

Or the fact that AI doesn't guard closely enough against players that are standing still. Often you can just shoot over them; especially after one pump fake. I recorded 1 vid in which opponents scored about 15 times against our AIs like that.

@@isiight. I was talking about REC and especially about their offense. They seemed to hit a lot more of their open shots and to make a lot more layups, etc. Defensively there are always ways to exploit the AI. I don't know if those exploits were as bad at the start as they are now.

@@mve5758 i only play rec and proam. ai have been highly underpowered and honestly if you face a team that has any sort of clue what they are doing you lose because you have an ai on your team. An ai is a death sentence on defense and on offense. On offense the ais should be programed to always take an open corner and just spot up there and never move on offense and be programmed to hit at least 50% of their open 3s. That is the only way to solve the ai issue on offense. On defense they used to be able to allow you to change your ai defense tendencies but you cannot do that these days. The fixes are honestly really simple. But 2k has been an incompetent franchise for years they just don’t care.

You can use one playing in any mode by simply going on the player when choosing team and pressing in the left analogue stick

For finishing badges that’s a good method but there is a better method that works much more consistently and gets you a lob virtually every time. Basically you go to the left or right hash making sure there is only one player in the corner to the left/right of you. Call a pass and screen away to set this and then pass to the person at the top of the 3. Then all you need to do is just press LB once and follow the arrows around the off ball screen to the basket and jam it. This works best against teams with a worse big man but with the right positioning will work on every play. You dont even need to do it at the hash I just found more consistency doing so

Unless you're a pg, I believe that you're not able to call plays like that unless you have the leader badge or whatever unlocked. I didn't unlock it until after I had all my badges

Everytime we play 3s or rec, we get mad when someone on our team leaves. All you have to do is hop back and you're open from the ai. They just cheese the ai for easy points, I've never had a problem scoring on them unless all you try to do is run into them over and over trying to get a layup. Dudes already be dropping 40 pts easy in a rec game if they have an ai and nobody knows how to help the ai
