8:52 is because you only have 3 quick cuts per possession. So your player is slow and tired on the 4th cut. It's a new game mechanic meant to nerf spamming.

That makes sense if you were cutting in succession but there he drives at 17 secs once, kicks out and you can say that the flare out counts as a second cut and then he wants to explode after the pumpfake which is the 3rd cut at 12 secs and he cant. Also after the pump fake there should be a reset or something because you are standing with the ball so you should explode especially if you have quick first step.

2k will also make your player stay in place if you’re in help and they pass your player the ball. He stands in place for a second before you can react and get to your man. They need to remove these slow down animations from the game

Keep in motion when your trying to help protect the lane.When they pass to who you are guarding. You will already be in motion, to close out.

I do the fast shuffle, so I can move back and forth, just enough time for me to cut off the driver and get back in time to contest the shooter, if they pass the ball.
