The fact that some things looks better on PS4, equal to the PS5 Version or only slightly worse, just shows what a bad job 2K is doing with the graphics on next-gen. There are sports games like FIFA that have reached the point of "NextGen" almost 3 years ago (!), looking beautiful in every aspect (since then) and then there's 2K that's not using the technical power and possibilities at all almost 4 years into next-gen. Just embarassing. But I'm sure many people that play 2K don't even know how good 2K COULD look like and when there's no one complaining, they only improve it slowly year by year. Edit: just played EA FC 24. It looked really good in FIFA 23 already, but EA FC 24 looks incredible. Lighting is levels above 2K24 and such an important piece in a arena-based sport like basketball. The hair engine is absolutely insane for those players with a facescan. You can literally see EVERY SINGLE hair, you really have to see it yourself... Jerseys moving realistic, it's just close to perfect. And that's what I mean. 2K has the possibilities to do the same but they don't. While EA stepped it up to another level AGAIN. And usually EA is the laziest company that does nothing for its customers... 2K had better graphics than FIFA for a long time.

I remember the days when offline meant something and usually offline goes along with gameplay and graphics, not just offline modes. I feel these days, all that developers care about is multiplayer so they give us half-products or slight improvements. We are the ones to blame tho. Most of the people wanna play online, build their characters so they can shoot 3's off the dribble from almost half court while having 3 defenders on them. 2K wasn't about that. I remember playing 2K8 in my 360 and that was a hell of a game.

I started playing 2k on 2k24 and I haven’t played any older ones besides 23. The jersey having actual structure on your player is crazy. It wrinkles and folds in accordance to your movement. The ball also has some very good physics implemented into it. I’m overall very impressed with the graphics. The lighting is sick af if you go to the photo moments on PS5. 2k shouldn’t release every year, instead provide updates and release a new game when necessary. It’ll allow people to actually build a player to use and they can make dcl content for a new series. It’s actually very inefficient when you consider having to redo everything every year is why people are leaving 2k.

The graphics on 2K24 new gen are very disappointing. To the point where I almost regret buying it. There is a dull almost grayish look to the game, and court reflections have been scaled back for some reason. It definitely doesn’t have the same visual pop that I’m used to seeing with NBA 2K games. I much prefer the look of 2K23, or even the old gen versions of 2K23 or 2K24.

it's not the graphics it's the movement and animations and way they hover and slide across the floor it hasnt changed in a decade. watch from 15:00-15:30 watch how beals arms go up like an action figure, giddey looks like hes hovering a millimeter above the ground and holmgren is moonwalking forward. theres no planting of the feet and a realistic 'push' or physics to the movement.

The menus of 2k24 on the ps4 version reminds me of WWE 2k17 on Xbox 360. Sure the menus is modernised but it's the same as 2k14 in terms of layout. Even the graphics of the old gen version was the same as 2k14,the models look different in 2k17,it's as identical as in next gen but it will be more outdated than next gen as it will have to adher to last gen standards,No face scaning,no photorealistic visuals,simplistic and cartoony but realistic bodies,no white skin color,it will saturated and less realistic.😂
