Dude was hating on the Celtics all year! Celtics are the most complete team offense and defense that we have seen in years.
@pete31985 ай бұрын
This is the precise reason why I always say Kyrie is overrated. Kyrie is an incredibly skilled offensive player, but that's really all he is. He's the guard version of Carmelo Anthony - he's not a great defender, he's not an above average rebounder, he's not a great playmaker. When he's on fire offensively then he's a huge impact guy, but when he is struggling offensively he becomes a liability on the court because he really can't do anything else to positively impact the game. This is not the first time we've seen this of Kyrie. This game was pretty much a 1:1 reproduction of the Celtics vs Brooklyn nets in the 1st round a couple of years ago. The Celtics smothered Durant, made every single shot he took difficult and also forced him to play defence on the other end...and KD was so overwhemled that by the end of the series he just fell apart because it was too much for one man to handle. Kyrie was supposed to be the big time wingman who was meant to take that pressure off KD, but when push came to shove he choked against the Celtics defensive pressure and the end result was a Celtics series sweep. This game was pretty much exactly like that series. The Celtics focussed on make life as hard as it possibly could be for Luka by making him work for every shot, and then also forcing him to work on the defensive end - and by the end of the game he looked gassed. Kyrie was supposed to take pressure off him, but again he fell apart against the Celtics defence and became a complete non-factor. This Dallas team is 100% dependant on the idea that Luka and Kyrie are going to combine for an efficient 55-60 points every night. They NEED that to win, because they just don't have enough depth. Kyrie is Kyrie, and it's inevitable that there are going to be two or so games in this series were he's going to off and score 25-30 points, because no matter how good the offense is he's just that talented that those nights are going to happen. And those couple of games will be hard fought. But the other 4-5 games in the series he's going to struggle immensely against the Celtics defence, and in those games Luka will struggle under the pressure and the Mavs are going to get spanked.

The Celtics crushed the whole first half...the mavs got ruined the second half of the 3rd qrtr 14-2 and they lost the game by 18....how you figure they " won " anything???😂
@christopheryou50405 ай бұрын
@@venomius by the eye test they got crushed but by the box score, they out scored the Celtics in the 3rd and 4th. The 4th is hard to gauge due to roster changes towards the end.

No, size only matters with talented tall dudes. Small ball was Curry, yes, plus a team that had huge chemistry with Curry and talent to support Curry. The Warriors won a lot because they were more talented than the size and length on the other size. They were better. Period. Small ball is real if you have talented people to play it.

If KP plays decent (like tonight), Boston wins in four. If KP gets hurt, Boston wins in seven. I'm not a Boston fan. It's just easy to see the issues with the Dallas D. Luka and Kyrie have to score 30+ to beat the Celtics. The Denver Nuggets would have beat this Celtic team.
@arbikoum8055 ай бұрын
Once Denver got out of the picture, the path was clear for Boston to win. Dallas doesn't match well with Boston . Gafford and lively won't be effective in this series bcz the Celtics bigs play well on the perimeter.

Y’all overrating the Nuggets, they were not as good this year and had no depth, plus Murray was trash for most of the playoffs
@2cents2505 ай бұрын
How would Denver beat the Celtics team that is top 3 in offense and defense with jokic and an inconsistent Jamal Murray. They cant guard Boston. 😂😂😂

Denver wasn’t good enough to get to the finals therefore it’s a moot point! Boston got better and better and may have beaten Denver or Minnesota but we’ll never know now!

Denver couldn’t beat the Wolves who got waxed by Dallas. Nice cope.

Luka and Kyrie don't have stamina to play both ends if the floor for more than a few minutes at a time. They can get away with that in the west conference not against the Celtics.

One minute in and Colin already misses the mark. For one, the small ball revolution is not nonsense. It makes a lot of basketball sense and is alive and well. And two, Draymond and the Warriors are not responsible for the small ball revolution in the modern NBA. That would be Erik Spoelstra and the Heatles

That series went 6, and Boston is a suped up version of OKC. Like multiple tiers better and yet very similarly built.
