When It comes to pinning the shirt, would I be best off pinning the side that isn't going to be visible? I'm framing some very old 1980s Liverpool tops and don't want to damage them

The pins are very small you can bearly notice them unless you look very close also i'd recommande that you pin around the number or the players name this way you dont makes holes in the fabric that would be noticable if one day you want to de-frame your Jersey. I have seen a couple of framing before i did mine and saw people using staples to hold them toghether but this is not something i wanted to do to my jersey's. They are and remained pristine and 3 years later the framing is holding as if it was done yesterday

@@timh5831 It all depends where you are located and what your local shop have available for you. In the beginning i used Fiber Flooring Underlayment plate but i could have as easily used a tick cardboard plate. The important his that it needs to be sturdy enough without being too heavy to keep the shape of the jersey.

How deep does the frame need to be to fit everything? Is 1/2” ok?

It will denpend on the thickness of the plate you mount it with and maybe the size of the Jersey. Mine is about 3/4 of an inch in thickness from the base to the glass/plastic. The Jersey from Dennis is an M size but i also did the same type of frame with a size L of Magic Johnson

you can go either one size up on the frame or adapt the jersey to the frame. i did another video with a jersey from Vlade Divac and its an XL and the frame is the same size as this one.

How much did this cost you? I just got a nice jersey frame for $38 at hobby lobby. It has a chip in the back so I asked them to discount it further. The original price was $130 so I had to get it.

The Jersey costed me about 90 usd and the framing about 60 more including the logo and other material i was able to reuse. Since then using the same technique i framed 2 more jersey's. 38 usd is not bad if your frame is of quality. Mine are cheap quality from Ikea but as long as you dont move them around much they're ok

I calculated the price without the Jersey at about 60 euro. It seems a bit much because some of the accessories i used that were sold in bulk or could be used multiple times. Realistically you can do a decent framing between 30/40euro using alternative materials. Whats Jersey are you planing on framing?
