Didn't matter.. the Pistons were a better team. They were up 3-2 and would have won in 6 games in 88 before Isiah Thomas badly injured his ankle in game 6. They still almost won game 6 and if it wasn't for an absolutely brutal /rigged foul call on Bill Laimbeer against Kareem in the closing seconds of game 7 the Pistons would have won it in 7 in 88 even though Isiah Thomas was at like 20% because of that injured ankle. Even though the Lakers of course were great the Pistons were simply better. Especially considering the Pistons had to go through Bird's great Boston Celtics even to make it to the finals and they still had enough to beat the Lakers. All facts bro. ✌️
