But current Jokic is insanely similar to 2019 Messi, both with teams being almost entirely reliant in one player and both Jokic and Messi being arguably being the best in every offensive metric there is ( Messi - passing, shooting, dribbling : Jokic - basically averaging a 30 point triple double on monstrous efficiency).

IMO the race is between joker and SGA and maybe Giannis. Joker is just so good and sees so much, he’s coring like crazy and is carrying a very mid to bad Denver team so hard rn. SGA is just so dang efficient, he can score whenever he want, wherever he wants, he makes his team better and what sets him apart from joker is his defense. SGA is the best 2 way mvp caliber player in this race. Then Giannis is just having a good season rn, doing what Giannis does best.
