Pippen throws up a brick and gets a shot clock violation the last two times down the court, and then throws a hissy fit when he doesn’t get the last shot drawn up for him. Classic.

As bad as what Pippen did in this game checking himself out when he didn't get the final shot everyone moved on and got over it pretty quickly, if any NBA player did that in the hot take/social media era we live in today people would be talking about it for weeks/months at least.

Man I miss this brand of basketball. When teams played physical defense and players routinely sold out to do anything to help their team win. When the three pointer was an occasional play call and offenses utilized the entire floor to score. When footwork and post moves were a valuable skillset.

The Greg Anthony punch the year before, The Heat/Hawks brawl in the 1st round and this brawl just a week or two later led to that stupid player off the bench suspension rule. And despite Harper taking English down, Harper would up on the floor and English was cracking Harper with punches on the replay.

One reason for the Knicks coming up short in all but one series, from 1989 to 1996 they only won 1 of the 17 games played at Chicago
@plainsimple244
@plainsimple244 6 ай бұрын
Do you see when they showed Anthony Mason's stats at 6:22 mark?... He led the team in assists at 3 a game? This shows you the Knicks didn't move the ball. HAHAHA! In 1992, Mark Jackson led the team in assists with 8 per game, look how far they went?...Then in 1993, Starks, Rivers, and Gregg Anthony had 5 a game...so just 3 guys contributed to 30 points while Jackson alone contributed to at least 16 points in '92...shows you why and how the Knicks lost to the same team a game sooner in '93, even though they were a round later....See, you can get away with playing selfishly against bad teams but those teams that are defensive minded like the Rockets who can actually score like the Bulls with Jordan, those things don't work at all when you do not move the ball....It shows how Riley couldn't come up with a solid offense and how Magic, Kareem, and Worthy made him look great because all those guys drew double/triple teams in the post/perimeter and opened up the court.

The Bulls have that unprecedented opportunity by proving they can win it all without GOAT23. This game was the beginning of ending that dream finish. Pip and Jordan can dislike Toni Kukoc all they want, but the latter has proven he can play in the NBA and he’s already a teammate who earned his worth despite being disliked by the two. Personally, the two may still see him as an enemy. But as a pro, Pip should have set it aside because he’s the de facto leader anyway. (pardon the digress) Boy, seeing this game further appreciate the selflessness of David Robinson to let Tim Duncan lead the Spurs. Then TD let Tony and Manu (both foreign late round picks) to blossom into All-Stars.

This was the game that changed Scottie Pippen's career for the worse... Did you hear what Rod Thulin said about Friday 13, 1994 for the Bulls and their 'luck' changing with that shot and how the game ended. Funny huh? Pippen not going in was a move to show he's not part of that team, still envious and he was never wanting to be a Chicago Bulls' player on those teams, he wanted his team to lose so he could say, 'They should have given me the ball...' and sulk and do what he's doing now. HAHAHA Same guy, which is why Jordan would put that in 'The Last Dance' because he was so mad but Pippen could have just looked out for himself but didn't believe in himself -- weird. If Jordan was on this team they would have won 4-1.

@@kik5323 I was laughing at the situation and thought it was weird that Pippen didn't come in, arguing with Cartwright and then when Kukoc hit the shot I was wondering why Phil Jackson wasn't happy -- so Phil was right, Pippen was wrong and what happened was Pippen's drama...I'm a Pistons fan so I hated the Bulls and was objective but I hated the Bulls for a reason, it was because of the Jordan worship and the NBA gave Jordan everything he wanted...I was happy Jordan retired and I felt comfortable watching the Bulls and the league that year because there was no Jordan agenda for me to watch him or worship this guy, it was sick...you know you couldn't go one day from 1992-1993 without seeing Jordan's face on television -- that was sickening.... People didn't even see their family that much but we gotta look at Jordan? HAHAHA!... That's why I hated the Bulls...now 1995-96 to 1997-98 I liked those teams because they had Rodman and had 3 Bad Boys Pistons to have the greatest Bulls team of all time the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.
