I've said it before - it's a different world. Women are intrinsically different than men. We handle stress and adversity differently, we handle emotions differently. People keep saying "these women are acting petty" or whatever other comments are being made are true - it's just normal female behavior and in my opinion is WHY females competing will never compare to men competing. I'm not saying women do not belong is sports, but don't ever think it will compare to men's sports. It's just two different worlds and has to be treated as a totally different thing. Honestly the best female sports names out there to me, tend to be tom boys, or are more masculine acting. It's easy be drawn to them because they are relatable to men, who are the ones settings the standards. Look at Caitlin, she carries herself like a dude. She's not engaging in the female BS, she stays humble, doesn't feed the trolls, stays focused- those are masculine traits where we can separate the emotion from the task / job at hand.

Isn't that how it always is from female friendships too. Jealousy destroys their friendships. That will transfer on all things that they do.

NBA stars came out first to support Caitlin. Too bad the WNBA and Fever management fell down on the job and DID NOT support her when she was assaulted on the court by other players or when the referees were “compromised” which happened the whole season towards Caitlin. Caitlin’s basketball IQ is off the charts. She really “coached” the Fever team to the playoffs. I love Tyrese’s respect for Caitlin

She's a phenomenal player. But she is also a woman who emanates grace and class; she is electric and you can't turn away. No one can fake or learn what she has and is. That's why so many of us accidentally saw her flash across our phones and were immediately hooked on basketball for god's sake, but basketball only when she was playing.

Basketball has fallen to the bottom of my sports interests. I was really excited when Minnesota got a pro team back after losing the Lakers. And I was happy for the expansion into women pro basketball. But with the appearance of CC to the college game I was introduced to what I call a complete and exceptional player. A young stand out player completely hooked me on Clark's journey. Now I am addicted and I want to see the league become self sufficient. All because of one shining light.

I say kudos to Caitlyn!! She was able to bring her talent to the utmost because she is humble and caring obviously. Her personality is sweet but true to the game. Dealing with all the punishment from other players, not giving in to their emotional weaknesses; Caitlyn does exactly what she should do by walking away not giving up! Staying strong and keep pushing forward. The courage of respecting yourself is very high! God has blessed her.

Of course NBA players are speaking up. They've financed the WNBA for years, and with Caitlin Clark, and the viewership she brought in just her rookie year, they could offload that burden. But jealousy, envy, and racism in the WNBA has Caitlin's fans urging her to walk away from the WNBA, and take her talent and her money-making ability with her. So the NBA has stepped in and chastised the WNBA for their treatment of Clark. But as long as they have thugs playing in the WNBA, and the powers that be won't step in and put an end to literal assaults perpetrated by those thugs, no superior collegiate players are going to want to play in the WNBA. And the average citizen isn't going to pay good money to see thugs. Personally, I'd like to see the NBA stop providing financial support for the WNBA until they clean up their act. Or go under.

Her talent is the truth, and it speaks for itself. some have that special gene & talent, some blossom in time, and others who may have to work harder to blossom, and here's my point, no matter the level of ones talent ,it steel must be worked on, and with that said, some bloom early and they just have that IT, but what what carries that special talent is the inner hunger to continue, and keep working and asking that all important question how can I get better, and also speak with those who have scaled to continue to progress and pushing as they grow and mature. Every now and then youll come across that special one, no matter what they've achieved it isn't enough to just settle for that: Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Stepf Curry, Mike Jordan Dr. "J", and now Caitlin Clark. Real talent doesn't have a color! Larry Bird himself which quite a few people aren't aware of, and he stated this himself, that in his upbringing he played with mostly older Black players due to the proximity of where he grew up, He himself stated that most of this skill level came about when playing with the older black players that was in his neighborhood. So when it came to the NBA it came to him as NO surprize or big deal to him because of the black players that were in and around the neighborhood that he grew up in and he has stated himself that playing with the blacks is where he really appreciated and benefitted from his talents being sharpened and HE himself had not hesitating of speaking of how and where his game was shaped at! Where I was raised it was ALL about your ability to show your gaME, BASEBALL, BASKETBALL,FOOTBALL, TRACK, VOLLEYBALL, AND EVEN SOCCER. So what she's a white girl and I have NO problem with saying that! The question can, The girl can BALL! Beginning and end of question! So if she can, she's a winner and shes on my squad. Like the late great owner of the Oakland now L.A. Raiders Al Davis ALWAYS said, "just win baby". Good enough for Al Davis its good enough for ME and Caitlin Clark! Mr. Hop....

why do some people want us to be excited about previous wnba players that we were never excited about? CC has always mentioned the players she idolized growing up. Sheryl Swoopes ,Lisa Leslie ect were stars and nobody disagrees with that. Their skillsets just didnt cross over to where casual bball fans would get excited. The nba has always tried to force feed the public these wnba players. You cant make a consumer buy something they dont wanna buy. CCs game transcends all the previous wnba talent. Theres never been a wnba player ive ever compared to an nba great. CC is the only womens player who gets me to adjust my schedule on a Tuesday night because i find out shes playing at 7pm. I love Diana Taurasi. I love Stewie and Sabrina too. But CC is different. Shes now the face of basketball in general along with Lebron and Steph. Shes one of my favorite basketball players. full stop.

@@jaymthesn5981I think you take the crown for dumbest take actually. The original comment is clearly referring to CC’s peers that aren’t supporting her, which is an understatement cause a lot of them are quite literally out to get her on the court in a way that’s seldom seen before. Almost everyone who hates on lebron are doing so from their couch with Dorito dust in their bellybutton. Ask any NBA player what they think of bron and they’re gonna give him his flowers. CC’s peers are just jealous that she’s shining and they’re not. It’s that simple

What year did the WNBA begin? 1997 not fkn 1902 The league was open to all races to participate in. Furthermore there were white players that were more skilled than blackkplayers...But everytime someone mentions clark they bring this trash up. What, ONLY BLACK PLAYERS participated in the league? What, black players were prohibited to play and had to rally, protest, and break down these barriers? NO Sooo as a black person, when you only mention the black players "paving" the the way and not mention white players doing tbe same... Mentioning someone who came before anybody... Watching her on the floor, the way she’s constantly evaluating, processing, planning-reminds me of the brilliant technique of John Stockton of the Utah Jazz. Watching him was like watching a master chess player. He was always 10 moves ahead, never lost his cool. CC is also a very intellectual player like Stockton. But I think she’s also a very laser-focused player. Watching her, I get the impression that she’s in her mental zone of completeness. Doing what she loves, what she’s wired for, what she’s been gifted to do. She’s kinda like scorched earth of the basketball court. Now, can the WNBA afford to get some referees who aren’t blind?😵‍💫💕

To survive as an iconic athlete it is good to be humble but that's not going to make you an iconic athlete if you want to be an iconic athlete then you have to be one of the best of the best and you have to continue to be one of the best of the best it's not just about being humble that's what makes people like her so much is that she is humble but being a great player and continuing to be a great player player is what's going to make you be considered one of the greatest of all time is when you are one of the greatest of all time it's just common sense humbleness will only get you so far humbleness without greatness is not worth anything as far as being an iconic athlete there are very many humble athletes in the NBA that nobody has ever heard of

Not the fastest, not the most athletic, but Elite vision, passing, shooting and IQ of the game. I see a Luka right there, this time she was drafted right: #1 Overall

15:44 That goes without saying and is true about every sport, even the NBA. To me, this is a weak point because the thing is, Clark has brought the WNBA INTO conversations with her skills, play, attitude. No one other player before or even now has done it with a poor attitude. No offense to the WNBA pioneers, but let's be real, it wasn't talked about before. So I don't think Green understands the significance of Clark, while other WNBA players are ruining it succumbing to a poor attitude that are very unsportsmanlike.

Granted there were players before Caitlin that opened the door. But has any created such a buzz for the W as Caitlin?

You know I agree with your comment but if they locked up all Dirty Players then they would not have WNBA League because they are all jealous, and dirty plus Racist Biggets also, it's not Caitlin Clark's fault for her Talent.
