Ahh the mavs vs suns game… truly a spectacle of recent sport. I’m not a suns or mav supporter but I’ll never forget… coming back home from my 3rd baby mama to see my 6th kid drowning in the kitchen zinc. I was standing in the living room looking at it in awe… 204 points, 165 points dropped by luka with his other 57 assists and 45 rebounds. I was screaming at the fact that I’ve witnessed such history.. I also took my 6th kid Demarcus Cousins the second to the hospital where he survived with minor brain damage. Brain damaged or not kid was stupid enough to drown in the zinc so it don’t really matter, child support should cover the hospital bills.

I'm always sad to see these kinds of vids and see John Stockton not get his due. Lebron's all time scoring leader status is absolutely amazing, but Stockton leads in all time steals and all time assists by such large margins, they're the two most unbreakable NBA records IMHO. And not even a mention?
@urwholefamilydied11 ай бұрын
ya, ending the video with "and why LeBron's scoring record is THE MOST UNBREAKABLE RECORD" LOL. In scoring at least 2nd 3rd and 4th place are all pretty close. In Stockton's case, 2nd and 3rd place aren't even the same ballpark. And ya, like you said... two pretty major categories held just by Stockton... even if he wasn't far and away the leader in those categories, the fact that one guy is career leaders in two categories is already a striking stat. The fact that neither will likely ever be broken... ya, at least mention the dude! Also Malone was #2 in career scoring for a VERY long time as well. Those guys get no fucking respect for how good they were. And would have at least a couple rings if they didn't have the shitty luck of playing in the Jordan Bulls era.

This is one of those records that could be (somewhat easily) broken. However, the circumstances arent likely to happen. There are MANY players that have scored 25+ points per quarter. The highest of which is Klay Thompson's 37. Kobe's 81 and Robinson's 71 point games were blowouts. At a certain point they stopped trying to score and just did as the opposing teams just gave up. There is no reason it couldnt be broken, but you need a strong offensive player, a team who wants to feed him, a demoralized opposing team who gives up, and a coach who wont take that player out.

Never forget game 7, Suns/Mavs. The Suns had the better team in every way. But they collectively decided they don't get paid enough to actually participate in 7 games in a row against the same team. So they went on strike, refusing to even play; setting the record for the shortest player's strike in sports history. I remember coach Monte pleading with his players to maybe pretend to try on some of the plays. But the Suns held strong to their commitment to quitting. Their boycott was effective; allowing a very average Mavs team to beat them by over 200pts in a pregame layup drill which lasted all game. In doing so, the Suns successfully proved their point, that they shouldn't be forced to participate in the playoffs. As a result, in the following years, the Suns have been allowed by the NBA to quit in the postseason, effectively becoming a defacto bye-week for whichever team draws their seed in the playoffs. It's a compromise which seemingly satisfies everyone. The superstars on the Suns get to start their off-season vacation early as usual; and their playoff opponents get to look forward to the next round. In this way, everyone wins. Adam Silver is expected to officially unveil the new rule allowing the Suns to opt out of participation in the playoffs sometime this season. However, it's all just a formality, as the Suns already do that every year anyways.
