I wouldnt say scripted but definitely influenced at times. Like in a situation where a small market team vs a big market team is in a play-in game, the NBA wants the big market to win that game 1000% because thats much more profitable. But I would never say its absolutely rigged

Refs have been pretty awful all year. They have HUGE EGO'S and do not understand they are there to FACILITATE the games, not RUIN them! 😤😤 Hope itll change for the better next year! 🙏

There have been lots of put backs 0:16 throughout the years and not once has a ref blew the whistle for goaltending 😂😂 that putback would have been a game changer but im glad it wasn't cause i won good money

They explained during the broadcast that they call them now so they can review them and the review is almost automatic because from this season on the NBA has a technology similar to the Hawk-eye used in tennis

Most of these calls are correct Not sure why people seem to believe the refs are inexperienced or showing bias. I have no doubt that they let calls go when a team is up, and call more fouls when a team is down. But rarely (it happens, but maybe 1/20-25 times) do they call something that wasn’t even there. The put back by KAT was over the cylinder, but the foul in the back was weak on that steak but still a foul. I think the issue does not lie in the refs experience or knowledge of the game, but rather the incentive they are given by the NBA higher-ups to make a game close, which is why we see so many comebacks nowadays. Trailing teams will get softer fouls and leading teams will have some that don’t get called. It’s a way of maintaining interest but also flow of the game, sadly. If they called every foul games would take 4-5 hours and we would be back to a few years ago where shooters got every call. But if they call none of the small ones when they matter teams will erupt. It’s a tough line to balance. I encourage everyone to reconsider their stance on this
