Having played basketball for a lot of years in my life (never anything more competitive than some college ball), one of the things I have learned is a team that moves the ball around and knows where each other are can be disadvantaged in height, weight, skill, etc. but still be able to compete and win because they work better together.

Re: your comment about traveling - over the last couple of decades the league has become a LOT more lax about traveling calls, I think because a bit of traveling here and there doesn't affect the outcome of a game that much, while calling it a lot can break up the flow of the game and make it less fun to watch. There are lots of clips in this compilation where traveling would have been called 100% of the time back in the 90s.

"Through the five hole", or "through the wickets", often used more in baseball parlance. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five-hole
@caedmon2323 жыл бұрын
through the wickets When a batted ball passes through the legs of a player on the field (most commonly an infielder) it's often said, "That one went right through the wickets." The term refers to the metal arches (called wickets) used in the game of croquet through which balls are hit. Letting the ball through his legs makes a baseball player look (and feel) inept, and the official scorekeeper typically records the play as an error.
