Luka Dončić last season and he has taken two completely different teams to the Conference Finals in 3 years: • 34/9/10 • 1st in points • 2nd in assists • 73 point game (4th highest ever) • First 33/9/9 season in NBA history • Most 30-PT TD’s since MVP Russ • 1st in 25-point games • 1st in 35-point games • 1st in 40-point games • 1st in 45-point games • 2nd in 3’s made • Top 10 in steals • 61.7% TS • Highest scoring season in Mavs history • Most PPG + RPG + APG since the merger. • Most consecutive 25 point triple-doubles ever • Most consecutive 30 point triple-doubles ever • Lifted Mavs from 11 seed to 5 seed • Most games missed by teammates among all playoff teams • Mavs 50+ wins • Mavs 1st in clutch win% • 6th best record in entire NBA

Great list... just one addition: Most points created (points scored + points assisted) per game in in NBA history with 58.9 Yes more then Russ ever did in one of his TD seasons, or Wilt in his 50+ PPG season, or anyone else. For me thats one of the most impressive records he set last season.

Luka plays good defense. In fact, he had more steals per game than Shai did last year. People who really have played basketball and played it well know it takes a lot for Luka to do what he does on offense. He catches his wind on defense. That is why it appears it is lacking at times, but at the end of the day, Luka's offensive numbers are 3rd in NBA history. That is how good he is.

@@Fifeyz Again, watch his games. He plays decent defense. And again, the man lead the league in points, was second in assists, and was first in rebounds among guards. Hell, he out rebounds most forwards. And you wonder why he can't play top level defense all the time? Get real with yourself.

Luka Doncic had 231 more rebounds than any other point guard in the NBA last year. He was second is assists. He led the league in points. So stop making comparisons between defensive players and Luka. NO ONE is doing what he does in a year. No one.

100%. Best non big rebounder in the NBA. Best passer, best scorer, but it’s that Magic I can’t explain. He does things nobody else can do and he does it without a 40” vertical and blazing speed. His defensive rebounds are extremely undervalued as that’s part of defense. He’s the best at that part.

Luka is an above average defender. If someone doesn't get that he should stick to wather polo or ice skating or perhaps curling. Whole Clippers team literally couldn't score on him when he was guarding them and he reads the opponents game and gets more steals then SGA or Ja and NBA "analysts" consider those two as better defenders than Luka. Some people really need to get their brains checked out.

@@swhoshing6237 yeah when he’s hurt ( knee so he can’t get lift ) he focuses his energy on defense. We saw that in round one and two. He has the most gravity and he creates the most points in the league. He can’t also put every ounce into defense. But he can play d. His instincts are elite.

@deadlylightningspirit4295 Күн бұрын
@@cameronbolden5064it’s funny how blow by percentage is never a stat used ever but suddenly everyone is a expert in it about Luka. Completely ignore the fact that the stat doesn’t say what happens after the “blow by” and how it happens. The mavs defense is about funneling to the paint. He does that but it does look like he gets blown by more than he actually does because of that. He have seen him completely shut down star players like ant,PG, an injured Kawhi,shai,harden while also carrying one of the largest offensive loads in history. People except every player to use more energy than physically possible because they don’t understand what it actually takes to play basketball. There’s a reason a lot of the best defensive players an eh on the offensive side.
