How I miss Aaron Mckie, he was a cold player! This is my fav team of all time, everybody says they're garbage and Iverson was the lone offensive player. I believe otherwise, I have watched the whole run of the sixers during the 00-01 season. Some role players stepped up like Snow and even Jones.

These two teams were pretty squared up to each other back then. But based off this game which is merely a glimpse of the entire season I know it seems to me that Toronto had more shooters/scorers than Philly. And yet we won and went all the way to the Finals, basically because our D was tougher and AI was the GOAT, albeit in 7 games. Shit even Milwaukee in the next series had more scorers and shooters than Toronto and we also beat them in 7 😳

This coincides with the expansion period, which is no coincidence, I think. I mean the NBA even shortened the 3pt line for a couple years to try and help make fewer games miserable low-scoring stinkers. It was dark times.

Man Oakley was a dirty player. Starts off by throwing a hidden screen at 3:21 that somehow got called against Lynch (really?? how could that ever be an OK screening technique?) and then a few plays later at 6:30 he flops. At least the refs didn't blow the whistle on that and let Hill punish him. But otherwise, Oakley was so much proof of how bad reffing has been at times in the NBA, that a player like that would be allowed to not only get away with this stuff on rare occasion or in clutch moments, but build a lasting career on it.
