Kemp should be in the hall of fame, he's better than some who are already in.

Wilkins and Kemp were the two most explosive big men in the history of the NBA. It was a privilege to grow up during this era and watch the reign man bring the thunder.

OMG, I forgot about Shawn Kemp! He was an amazing player on both ends of the court.

Always loved Kemp's power roars after his dunks and block shots. Offense and defense like you said.

1:02 Literally! The defender didn't know what to do but just jump. Like he had to pretend that he at was at least doing something, he knew not to get anywhere close though hahahhaha

Kemp had one of those rare characteristics and attitude towards the game. It was never personal and never vain simply an artist painting his best on the canvas
@doubletake12384 жыл бұрын
Agree, other than his quick celebrations, never said a word. Saw him play the Knicks at the garden a few times. Oak and Mase would do their rough stuff,he paid it no mind, let his game do his talking, you would see defenders talking to themselves after a while lol.

The old Sonics stadium was probably the toughest place to play at in the early 90s...
@aaartnaz3 жыл бұрын
that 94-95 season, and hate to rub salt on an old wound, when the lakers and sonics battled that first round, i regard that as a truly entertaining playoff, namely game 2 when the electricity died and the sonics stormed back into turning it into a close game but that crowd had to be up with any other teams as far as cheering. i was a pup, 14, but that, along with the 93 round vs. phoenix i regard as truly memorable brief periods of time where i was completely in a trance and all i could think about was basketball and my lakers winning then i got older and prioritized watching sports gradually and gradually more and more underneath lol

0.57 still my favourite dunk of all time and the commentary makes it
@flame-sky71484 жыл бұрын
Yea that’s the one that does it for me. Out of all of them . And your right, the commentary makes it that much sweeter. The only thing is if they would have kept the clip going a bit longer, to watch Kemp with his teammates run down the court after the dunk and let the commentary continue is what was missing.
0:58 this one of my favorites 😂 the way he did a hesitation move before the dunk was smooth

Hi-Five your opponent after being dunked on! Great example of sportsmanship: we play hard, A-game, both sides want to win, but at the end it's all love. Kemp was a dangerous man.
