Let’s be real about that OKC and Bucks game. Anyone who watches both of these teams on a regular basis will tell you that was the worst game the Thunder played all season and one of Milwaukee’s best games all season. Every team puts up multiple clunkers throughout the season and that game was the Thunder’s only one. Not because anything the Bucks were doing, they were just out of it and doing things they never do. You have to remember the Thunder is still one of the youngest teams in the league, and it looked like a bunch of kids in their early 20’s after spending 6 straight days in Las Vegas. This is probably the first time most of these guys have ever spent a week in Vegas after turning 21. The Bucks on the other hand are an older team full of veterans, they’ve been there done that and wouldn’t get caught up in all that nearly as easy. If OKC and Milwaukee played a 7 game series, I’m still taking OKC in 5 games, at the most 6. Especially with Chet and Caruso healthy. Another guy they just got back that helps them down low is Arkansas Jalen Williams. The Thunder were missing two 7 footers that are major contributors. Williams is a very underrated player in my opinion and I think a lot of people overlook that depth. Once healthy that rotation of Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Jaylin Williams is a nasty rotation when healthy. You can even throw Kenrich Williams in that group. The fact is they only had 1 out of their 3 big men that game and a Hartenstein had just come back from his injury and wasn’t anywhere close to 100% healthy. Just getting Williams back was a big boost, Once Chet comes back it’s going to be tough sledding for anyone against those guys.

Bontemps seems out of his depth when it comes to basketball, especially regarding the Cavs. He doesn't seem to realize that teams like Boston and New York lack depth on their bench. What makes the Cavs so exciting-and potentially terrifying for opponents-is that they haven’t even hit their stride yet. Players like Mobley, Garland, and Okoro are visibly growing in confidence as the season progresses. The Cavs have all the tools: a strong inside game, sharpshooting from the outside, and a lightning-fast break led by Okoro and LeVert. As they continue to improve in every aspect, they’re starting to resemble a blend of the San Antonio Spurs' discipline and Golden State Warriors' fluidity.

I prefer no one talk about the Cavs. No one paid attention to what they did when LeBron left for LA. All they said was they were trash and questioned the trades, drafts and signings they made. When they flipped Lauri, Colin, Agbaji and picks for Mitchell, the experts said Ainge fleeced them. Oh, yeah, they were suck in the playoffs and it's time to trade everyone.Then of course, Mitchell was going to New York, but somehow they managed to retain him, along with everyone else. Not to mention a bench built from castoffs, trade pieces and G-Leaguers. yeah, let them do what they need to do in silence. No national coverage is good coverage.

They couldve played the Wizards and Pelicans every game and 29-4 would still be elite.

Look at the point differential for the Cavs. You can point to easy games but they’re not playing down to any opponent. They’re not just eeking through tough wins. They’re dominating everyone.

Team records are irrelevant when it comes to all star games. Or are you telling me if suddenly the nuggets trade everyone and sign g-league players to play with Jokic and he still puts up same numbers but they never win a game that he should not be in the all star game? That is silly. Only offseason awards should records matter.
@Shortballa1117 күн бұрын
Team records mean a lot a lot. Put Jdub on a team that sucks and his stats inflates. Dmitch is only playing 30mpg where as most guards are playing 36mpg because the Cavs blow out everyone, yet he only averages 23ppg when we know he can average 28ppg.

Really can’t see Cavs win past the conference finals. They need one guy to finish the game. Donovan isn’t the guy. He will disappear in the playoffs.

I respect the Cavs as they are the best team in the nba and already beat the knicks once. But i still believe in the knicks in that matchup. the knicks were without 2 key players in their front court Precious and Mitch. And based on the matchup of Mitch vs Allen? Gimmie Mitch 24/7. Lets go knicks!

@@annarousek7011 knicks don't play cavs until February and twice in April. Mitch vs Allen should happen barring a trade. And I like mitch over any traditional center in the nba. Allen, Capella, Valincunis you name em. If you can't make a 3 you're not a threat against Mitch. Best offensive rebounder in the league when he's available

Depends on how you define best team... Are the cavs PLAYING the best RIGHT NOW? Yes. Would I have them as the favorite to win the title? No. That could certainly change. Cavs have a stretch ahead full of more than a few tests and measuring stick games. If they come out the other end still dominant? Will be hard to deny that they are right there with the Celtics as the favorites if not ahead... That's coming from a Celtics fan. Will be fun to see it all play out.
@WaterGates116 күн бұрын
Thank you for being reasonable. I'm a Cleveland guy, but I definitely have the Celts as the favorites. My Cavs are taking notes and I hope they continue to fly under the radar. This city is underdog by nature so I wouldn't have it any other way. Also, to compete with Boston, I really want another 3D wing and a decent backup center. Tristan Thompson is not the business. Lol.
@NGC198616 күн бұрын
@ the buyout and trade market might get pretty spicy. Moving Jimmy might require 3 team deal and maybe you can get yourself a high level rotation guy in the mix. As a Celtics fan I’d be worried if the mavs found a smaller 3 and d wing (takes away ability to pick on garland) and/or a center who can stretch the floor. Mitchel scares the living daylights out of me in the clutch. I’ve been a huge Mitchel fan since day 1 and if it a 1 score game… that’s his bag, not Tatum’s. Jaylen has his moments but the free throws and ball handling can also create issues in those scenarios. Spida is a menace late.
