Most importantly Embiid and PG need to stay healthy, healthy, healthy !!
@jdh92195 ай бұрын
Everyone forgets the type of injuries joel has had and why he’s had them. Conditioning used to be a big reason, he takes that a lot more serious now. Him having to carry everything almost every game during the regular season just wearing him down before the playoffs, that should be better with this roster. Finally….are we forgetting him taking a running elbow in that Toronto series fracturing his orbital bone and giving him a concussion? That could’ve happened to anyone and was extremely unlucky. He was killing it in that series doing stuff like buzzer beater fade away 3s to win a game and completely blasting people on both ends of the floor. He was also doing that while having torn ligaments in his shooting hand just like he was dropping 30 on one good leg last year. People also gotta realize having “championship coach” doc rivers basically helping Miami win the first two games of the series while Joel was out healing from the elbow sure didn’t help smh. Playing fossil Deandre Jordan against the heat as a starter in both games even though it was already proven how much of a liability he was. He even stubbornly told the press after game one that he’d be starting DJ again weather anyone likes it or not. Lmao. The overall point is Joel has had a lot of stuff stack up against him in the last few years from Ben Simmons in that Hawk series and just the collapse of Ben overall, to then Doc playing Ben and others awfully in the playoffs as a whole, to injuries caused by bad luck, necessity, and even negligence. Hopefully this year isn’t another disappointment and we can all get to enjoy watching one of the best players alive actually have an impressive deep run.
