I have two favourite big men in this league : Nikola Jokić and Anthony Davis Individually, AD should be at the same point of Jokić. A 2x time MVP and 1x FMVP. One of the best player in the world, an unstoppable offensive player with consistency. An all-time player. He's 30y now and I'm not sure if he's a second option for a contender. Even a 39y guy is way better than him. That's so disappointing...

AD is very much the 1st option on the lakers and he’s just as valuable as lebron for the lakers. Last season when bron went down with a torn tendon in his foot, AD damn near averaged 36 pts, 8 reb, and 1 block per game in the 2 months of bron being out. This year his numbers have obviously gone down scoring wise but it’s really not his fault. Lakers are bottom 5 3 point shooting team and that just makes it easier to take away AD in the post and overall the offensive side of the game. AD in the post is 1A-1B with embiid as the most dominant players in the post but the reason why embiid has been stuffing the scoring stats is because he has great catch and shooters(Harris,Maxey,Melton,Batum, Oubre). You genuinely can’t guard the sixers man on man which is why they are a top seed. On the lakers side, they have 0 reliable catch and shooters. Reaves and Dlo are shot creators/playmakers, Prince and reddish are shooting horrible from the corner and bron,rui,vando,wood just don’t shoot like that.

Why should AD be at the same point of Jokic? Jokic is a naturally better shooter and playmaker meaning he can initiate the offense. AD's game is being a finisher and one of the best roll threats in the game. He's never been an initiator who can playmake at the highest level or shoot at Jokic's level. His best years from 2017-2020 relied on him getting the ball from elite playmakers in Rondo and Lebron AD is a way better defender than Jokic will ever be, but Jokic's skillset lends more to him being able to offensively take over games which will always make him better. The only thing is AD's lost the ability to score at a respectable 3 way level due to injuries

@@JohnDoe-gv4fb Yeah, we're acting like it's a shot at AD that Lebron is still able to play a relatively top 10 level at 39. That's more on how good Lebron is than how bad AD is. Lebron needs AD as much as AD needs Lebron. We see what happens to the Lakers defense when AD sits out

Davis is probably the fastest big man around the post/paint area his only weakness is against gaurding embid,jokic n giannis

Compared to those big men, Davis is the shortest. He probably has the lowest weight, I’m not sure if Giannis is heavier but joker and embiid definitely has some advantage over Davis. This is why Davis couldn’t really beat them off
