Luka hits him with the first to get him thinking he'll do it again when he goes into the same back down motion. Luka rolls off the defender's expected brace, causing him to miss and get too far out of position to stop this layup. The tricky part--to put it lightly--is that Luka will do the same thing on a different possession, except he'll actually bump the guy a second time and go into one of four counter, OR he'll just fade over either shoulder, OR he'll dropstep inside and headfake to set up the up and under. You can see him switching up counters 4-5 times a game.

@@OhmyZephyrus He still shoots 8 3s a game and he hasn't ever hit higher than 35% on them. He isn't yet great at them, mix that in with having to do too much, bad shot selection, etc and this is the result. His ability to shoot from mid range is far superior, he needs to take even more than he does now. Kidd is alresdy doing a good job getting him in the post, my point is Luka himself needs to seek these opportunities even more and not revert to shooting step back 3s until he improves on them.
