He had to cut down the original 7-season (minimum!) plot line he had planned for the show and tried to squish in as much as he could. And besides, I’m kinda glad we didn’t get that much Mason content, even though he was kinda funny at times because of how genuinely insane he was, most all scenes he was in made me super uncomfortable. But yes, season three definitely got rushed, and 3 year time skips are not Mr. Fuller’s style.
