I remember how I would pick and choose time slot’s between CBS, ABC, and NBC because most of what they all had I didn’t like, but each network had at least one that I liked so at 8 am this was coming on on ABC and at 8:30 am this other one I liked came on on CBS, etc. None of the networks had a lineup where I liked all of them. They all had a few Saturday morning gems and the rest were garbage. It’s probably why I don’t remember most of these. Land of the Lost is one of the few I do remember. The Ant and the Aardvark I still remember too. I’d still watch it today because it was hilarious.

Land of Lost was indeed very well done, all things considered. I was 12 in 1976. Pink Panther, Bugs, Daffy, HR Puf Lidsville, all tops in my book. But you're right, most of them were pure garbage. Thoughtlessly written, cheap, and dashed off.

You said Cartoon Lineup. Outside of Woody & Pink, everything else was Live-Action in 1976 for NBC. By 1977, they got rid of the Live-Action and went all Toons.

That RIF: Reading Is Fundamental thing, wow. Little ghetto kid walking around all mopey and depressed. Hanging around some dirty waterfront. Then he sees the magic book van with all that perfectly racially balanced gang of kids, clamoring for free books. So he grabs that book, 'I AM SOMEBODY' and wham, he got a totally new life. Haven't seen this sad PSA since the 70s! I'd love to know what the real life outcome was for that poor little urban boy? Now a days, he'd a been put on pills, probably Prozac, or ADHD pills, or possibly the gender kind.
