​@@blueblur2273Actually Living Single came out a year earlier and people have been comparing the two. People have been saying Living Single is the blueprint for Friends. Living Single follows the lives of several male and female roommates and friends in 1990s in Brooklyn, NY while Friends took place in Manhattan. Even David Schwimmer admitted that Living Single was first of of its kind.

Right up there was 1973-1974 CBS Saturday Night Line up All in the Family MASH, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, then Carol Burnett 1984-1985 Thursday NBC lineup The Cosby Show Family Ties Cheers Night Court and Hill Street Blues.

I watched only Seinfeld. ER scared the h out of me, but when football wasn't good, I switched to it. Friends were my favorite. I watched Living Single instead, even tho I didn't understand what was going on 😅

season 1 aside, I can run a marathon of Seinfeld and be very happy. I do think it takes a hit without larry david though. Friends really doesn't compare in a lot of ways but its another show i can watch easily enough.
