NBC: Today Show Celebrates 60 Years!

NBC News celebrates the 60th anniversary of Today! The empire state building is glowing in the iconic colors (orange, red and yellow) to help celebrate the anniversary of Today. This is the first time that the empire state building is illuminated for a TV show.

My guess is that it's a recently-composed (2004) piece of music by John Williams. When NBC commissioned him to re-record, in digital audio, the entire suite of NBC themes, he also composed, conducted, and recorded some additional pieces to be used in the future. This may very well be one of those pieces, although I'm not certain.
